A Popular Dish from the Series is Reproduced! Kitchen Jiro and “Steins;Gate” Collaborate

The PS3 and Xbox 360 game Steins;Gate: Phenogram of Linear Restraint was released in Japan on April 25. Recently, the game series Steins;Gate collaborated with the Western-style restaurant Kitchen Jiro Sotokanda in Akihabara.

Fans of the series are surely familiar with this restaurant. It is repeatedly shown within the game, and every time he eats there, main character Okabe Rintaro always orders the “Mad Mince Cutlet Curry.” As part of the collaboration, this signature dish of Rintaro’s was reproduced and available to order on a special menu.

The volume of the dish was perfect for filling up any hungry man and came with two mince cutlets. The cutlets were extremely juicy and complemented the roux of the curry exceptionally well. Since there were two, you could savor one cutlet normally and enjoy the other mashed up in the curry just like how Rintaro eats it. Those who ordered the curry received, while supplies lasted, an original coaster. The curry was offered for a limited time until May 10.
