Souvenirs from Tokyo-3, the setting for the latest Evangelion film, are now available in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The souvenir is called “Tokyo-3 Old Hakone Road” (1050 Yen) and it consists of cakes modeled after the paved streets of Hakone. Made with butter from the southern part of Hakone, they are two-layer cakes with a honey topping. The cakes come in two varieties: citrus-milk and strawberry-milk. Each feature illustrations of Rei Ayanami and Shikinami Asuka Langley. The package also includes original stickers of the same illustrations.
This souvenir is part of the “Evangelion x Hakone Project,” supported by the prefecture's food company, Shiino Foods. The same company is also selling “Tokyo-3 Hakone Twin Mountains” and “Tokyo-3 Geofront Watermelon Manjuu” within the town of Hakone.
The Souvenirs will be sold in Hakone Yumoto's Eva-Store located within the Yumoto Fujiya Hotel. Customers that buy two of the three different available souvenirs will receive an original clear file folder.
