On April 11, Namco Bandai Games announced a new game for the Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai series called Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Happy End. Currently the release date, price, and genre of the game are unknown.
The series began as a light novel by Tsukasa Fushimi. It is an adolescent comedy that follows a male high schooler named Kousaka Kyosuke who finds out that his girly-girl little sister Kirino is obsessed with otaku culture. The first game in the series was called Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable and released in 2011 on the PSP. The following year, the second game called Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable ga Tsuzuku Wake ga Nai was also released on the PSP. Happy End is the third game in the series and will be released on the PS3.
Details on the game have yet to be released. However, from the screenshots that have been released so far, it appears to be an adventure game in which the player will once again follow Kyosuke and his relationships with the female characters in the series. The SNS-like dialogue screen also contains some interesting aspects, including “Level,” “Skill,” and “Counter.” Though what part these will play in the game is yet to be seen. We will post more information on this game as it becomes available.
