The first in a series of movies based on the PS2 game Persona 3 is scheduled for release this fall.
The film, titled Persona 3 the Movie #1 Spring of Birth, is being directed by Noriaki Akitaya, who is known for the Bakuman series. Other staff for the film include screenwriter Jun Kumagai, who received a good reputation from Persona 4: The Animation and Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita, character designer and animation director Keisuke Watabe, composer Shouji Meguro from Atlus, and supervisor Seiji Kishi, who also worked on Persona 4: The Animation.
Also, names such as Akira Ishida, Megumi Toyoguchi, Kousuke Toriumi, Rie Tanaka, Hikaru Midorikawa, Mamiko Noto and Miyuki Sawashiro have been announced for the main cast. The deceased Isamu Tanonaka making a special appearance is also likely to become a topic.
In addition, a limited-time PV that was only broadcast on the night of a full moon was released.
Fans of the game might not be the only ones to anticipate the film, but also people who know the world of Persona from the anime.
