The American comic version of Cyborg 009 to release simultaneously on July 19 in Japan and America has been a huge topic since it was announced at “Comic-Con International: San Diego” in the summer of 2012. Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions will be selling the Japanese version.

Cyborg 009: Reborn is as of yet only a temporary title. Also, the price and number of pages have yet to be announced. However, we can confirm that Cyborg 009 is being revived with the help of American artists.

The original Cyborg 009 is a Japanese manga masterpiece created by Shotaro Ishinomori. However, the up-and-coming Archaia Studios Press is publishing the American comic version. Writers F.J. Desanto (*Immortals: Gods and Heroes*, The Spirit) and Bradley Cramp (*Gattaca*, Invertigo), as well as illustrator Marcus To (*Red Robin*, The Huntress) are working on the comic. Judging from the visual already released, Cyborg 009: Reborn looks a bit more like an adult comic rather than its predecessor.

It’s quite rare for overseas comics to simultaneously release in Japan because of translation issues. The English version will also release as an eBook on release day. It seems Cyborg 009: Reborn will remain a much talked about topic until release day and beyond!
