Going back roughly half a century in the history of Japan’s anime, two influential anime production companies started: Tezuka Productions and Tatsunoko Production. This year marks the 50th anniversary of both the TV broadcast of Astro Boy and the establishment of Tatsunoko Production. Now, these two companies have joined forces in a powerful tag team and have released charming products for the occasion.
Crossover products featuring popular characters from both companies, such as Astro Boy, Mafune Go, Hutch the Honeybee, and Kimba, are now on sale. The products include coffee mugs, tumblers, towels, eco bags, and more.
Each product is chic and practical. Fans will be very happy to know that the products feature designs by the supervisor of the magazine, TV Bros. The price of the coffee mugs is 850 yen and the price of the face towels is 1,500 yen (both prices include tax). With their low prices, these goods are also easily accessible to children.
The products are now on sale on Tokyo News Service’s mail order site, Webstore. Unfortunately though, the products are currently only for sale inside of Japan. They will, however, become available overseas in the near future, so for fans overseas who want to get their hands on these commemorative products, you will get your chance soon!
