Opening Movie for “Fate/Extra CCC” Becomes Public

Game adaptations are often made of hugely popular anime. Recently, it’s also often the case that anime production companies will create the opening movie for such games. Even though this is also the case in Fate/Extra CCC, there are some caveats that make it unusual.

Fate/Extra CCC is the sequel to the popular game Fate/Extra, which was released in 2010 and based on the popular original work Fate/stay night. Although the anime for Fate/stay night was a big hit, it’s probable that many people do not know of the game.

What makes the opening movie for Fate/Extra CCC unusual is that it was created by the anime company Shaft, which known for Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Bakemonogatari. There is no clear relationship between Shaft and Fate, so many people were surprised to hear of this duo. Definitely take a look at the clip on the game’s official site.

Moreover, we’ve heard there is a director’s cut of the movie. It’s possible we may be able to see that one day as well.
