“Gintama” Chosen as First Work Featured in the BoyColle Series

There are many examples of anime works being collaborated with sweets. Especially concerning kid-oriented anime, this type of collaboration is quite common. Since this is a good way to widen the appeal of an anime, it’s a win-win for both parties involved.

A new collaboration using this tactic has been unveiled, and its unusual approach caught our attention. The collaboration product is a wafer with a trading card attached. However, this isn’t what makes this collab unusual. What is unusual is the ability to hear the voice of the character on the card. This new product line is called BoyColle.

The way the cards works is simple. You access the website and input the number on the card to unlock the voice for that card. This collab offers double the fun since you can enjoy both the card’s design and its corresponding voice. Ingenious, don’t you think?

The first part in this series features characters from Gintama. All 22 cards from this series feature voice clips of the characters’ original voice actors, so fans can enjoy hearing their favorite characters over and over again.
