On Feb. 12, at the production presentation for Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Nexon announced that an online game for the PC called Ghost in the Shell Online (tentative title) will be released in the first half of 2014.
In December of last year, Nexon announced a licensing deal with Kodansha for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd Gig, and Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society. The first work Nexus is producing an online game for is Stand Alone Complex.
The game will be a “hacking FPS” that will include intense gunfights and action and allow players to experience the world of Ghost in the Shell. The game will also feature cooperative battles in which players combine with Tachikoma. Furthermore, players will also be able to take on the role of Kusanagi, the leader of the Public Security Section 9.
Look forward to more info on this game as well as on the highly anticipated Ghost in the Shell: Arise as it becomes available!
