On Jan. 18, 2013, NAMCO BANDAI Games released the newest information on the Nintendo 3DS game Super Robot Wars UX, which will be released on March 14. We now have information on the game’s battle system as well as screenshots showing battles scenes from the game.
Super Robot Wars UX will use a partner battle system, meaning that players will control and battle as a unit of two robots. The units will consist of a main machine and a sub machine, with the main machine being responsible for movement and offense and the sub machine being responsible for defense.
For those who would rather go solo, or if either the main or sub machines are destroyed, the game also has a system for battling as a single unit. Each system has its advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation, with some situations requiring a specific battle type be used.
New screenshots of battle scenes have also been released that show that robots from 16 different franchises are included in the game. Compared to the last game in the series, eight new franchises have been added.
