The CD jacket artwork for the song “Breakthrough” by Kaname Kawabata, which was used as the ending theme to the movie Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent, has been released.
The jacket features an illustration of Guts, who appears battered and bruised due to the eclipse, having lost his right eye and left arm. The illustration was drawn by the series’ character designer and art director, Naoyuki Onda.
“Breakthrough” was composed by Shiro Sagisu, who also composed music for the movie. The song features daring use of strings and a solemn feel; it’s a great companion to the world of Berserk.
