Commemorative Projects and Events to be Held for 10th Anniversary of TV Anime “King Gainer”

This year marks the 10th anniversary since the TV anime Overman King Gainer was broadcast. In commemoration, many events and campaign projects have been announced.

First off, a Blu-ray box set featuring every episode of the anime will be released by BANDAI Visual on March 22 for 36,750 yen (price includes tax).

The following day, on March 23, a stage event titled “King Gainer Matsuri Exodus, Suru Kai?” will be held at Tokyo Big Sight as part of the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2013. Appearing at the event will be series creator and director Yoshiyuki Tomino as well as other leading staff members who will give the inside story on many episodes of the anime.

The official site for Overman King Gainer is also celebrating with comments from the staff as well as the “Original Overman Contest”, which ended on Feb. 25. For the contest, fans designed their own original Overman to be judged by a committee that included Tomino himself.
