Gucci Store Windows Around the World Become Installation Pieces of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”!

JoJo has given the world quite a shock. The Gucci x JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure spin-off manga “Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci” has become a 3D window installation designed by series creator Hirohiko Araki. The installation is now decorating the front windows of 80 Gucci stores worldwide. The illustrations used in the installation were from the “Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci” collaboration, which was published in the February issue of the Shueisha fashion magazine Spur.

Spur had this to say on their official Twitter page about the new collab: “This isn’t just in Japan, it’s ‘worldwide’. This expansion is simply brilliant!” Spur tweeted this along with a photo of the Gucci installation on 5th Avenue in New York. The collab began in Japan on Jan. 8 at the Gucci stores in Seizan and Ginza. Now, the installation can also be seen at the Gucci stores in Osaka, Shinjuku, and Nagoya, as well as cities around the world.

Such a collaboration with such a beloved work is sure to put Gucci on otakus’ radars for quite some time.
