There are both victors and losers in war, and Hero learns of the cruel treatment that befalls the losers from a demon girl whom he saves from being abused by humans. Afterward, he sees the road he must travel in a whole new way. The first half of the episode portrays the present condition of the demons who have lost.
Viewers commented on the beautiful scenery of this episode and of their adoration for the work as a whole, saying, “Everything has been crafted in detail, from the story to the people to the scenery. I am fascinated by it all!”
In the second half of the episode, the neglectful Hero reunites with the Demon King. A scene unfolds in which they flirt with each other and dance together. However, all Hero can talk about is the poor demon girl he met. To this, fans took to the message boards, saying in both envy and hatred of Hero, “Demon King is right in front of you...make a move, Hero!”
Even though the relationship between Hero and Demon King is wishy washy, fans can’t get enough of it. Next week’s episode can’t come fast enough!
