FLOW to Perform Theme Song to “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods”

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, the first Dragon Ball Z movie in 18 years, is set to release on Mar. 30. The theme song to the movie should be very familiar to fans of the TV anime.

“Cha-La-Head-Cha-La”, the song used as the theme song for the TV anime, will also be used as the theme song for the movie. However, the song is being performed by the band FLOW, and it may be a bit different than what fans remember. FLOW was also in charge of the song’s arrangement, which is more aggressive and overflows with a refreshing feel.

FLOW is very famous in the world of anime, having performed popular anime songs for a huge number of works. Their representative work is the opening theme for season one of the anime Eureka Seven, “Days”. The song has been a huge hit, being downloaded more than 600 thousand times. Other songs by the band include the opening themes for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, “Colors” and “World End”, and the opening theme to Naruto: Shippuden, “Sign”. Each song debuted in the Top 5 on the Oricon Chart. The CD for their cover of “Cha-La-Head-Cha-La” will be released on Mar. 20. For those who can’t get enough of anime songs, look forward to it!
