Before the excitement from Comic Market 83 has even had a chance to die down, the Wonder Festival season is already upon us. Wonder Festival is the world's largest figure and small scale production model kit convention, and is also known to be a paradise for excellent cosplay. Being held twice a year in the summer and winter, Wonder Festival, along with Comiket, is one of the leading events in the international otaku world.
This year, Wonder Festival Winter will kick off on Feb. 10. Last year's Wonder Festival Summer headlined with the rideable robot Kuratasu. The event attracted over 2,000 dealers and drew over 45,000 fans from around the world. The crowd for this year’s Wonder Festival is anticipated to be even bigger!
In addition to reporting on Wonder Festival like we did last year, TokyoOtakuMode will also be participating in the event as a special vendor. As such, we will be holding special events and features. In partnership with one of the regularly participating dealers, Good Smile Company, TokyoOtakuMode will unveil a special area on otakumode.com dedicated to everything Wonder Festival. For those who will be attending Wonder Festival Winter this year for the first time, you may be worried about getting lost. Don’t fret though, TokyoOtakuMode has your back!
