Popular Vocaloid Song “Senbonzakura” is Becoming a Musical!

From March 13-24, 2013, at the Hakuhinkan Theater in Ginza, the 10th Nico Nico musical, Senbonzakura, will be performed.

Nico Nico musicals are sponsored by Dwango, who do the planning and production. The past musicals, which were previously only viewable in theaters, will now be broadcast live on Japan’s most popular video service, Nico Nico. The musicals will also be able to be timeshifted on the site, which allows the performance to be recorded from the live broadcast for later viewing. However, playback is limited to one viewing.

There will be two types of tickets for the Senbonzakura musical: real tickets for those who want to see the performance firsthand, and net tickets for those who would rather enjoy it from the comfort of their home. Watching online also offers viewers the enjoyment of sharing their thoughts through comments on Nico Nico.

The musical will feature performances by Kazuki Kato as Seine Kaito and Haruka Ishida as Hatsune Miku.
