Kaigara Buracco’s popularity is expanding in Japan!
The popular character Kaigara Buracco, which was created by DLE, is continuing its expansion into the realm of free game apps. The sequel to the popular game “Grill the Clam”, “Grill the Clam 2”, was released on Dec. 28, 2012.
The goal of the game is to grill clams in order to get various items that are stashed inside of them. Players score points by tapping the clam as it is baking over a charcoal grill. Additional points are gained from obtaining the gems that spill out of the clam. The amount of points earned depends on the items received, and tapping the clam increases the chance of getting rare items. The game features 50 different varieties of rare items. Rare items can also be obtained by successfully replacing charcoal and netting while grilling a clam. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
Kaigara Buracco is a character that was created as part of the Unichara Project. The project was organized by local broadcasters together with DLE, which is known for such anime as Eagle Talon. With this game, DLE is applying is character know-how to the world of character games.
The anime based on Kaigara Buracco is currently being broadcast on TV as well as online. The anime has received over 2 million views and has gathered huge buzz due to the inclusion of popular voice actress Yoko Hikasa. The anime is also picking up attention due to the character Kaigara Raco, a personification of the character Kaigara Buracco. The character design for Kaigara Raco was done by the popular illustrator KEI, who was also the original character designer of Hatsune Miku. The novelty and cuteness of this character is not to be missed!
