“Robotics;Notes” Episode 10 Recap: "A Robot Only We Can Build"

While he is busy playing Kill Ballad, a monopole falls from the sky in front of Kaito. Meanwhile, Akiho is still fixated on building the GunBuild-1 and proposes meeting again with JAXA to discuss the possibility of building a new version, which Subaru is opposed to. Akiho talks to Doc about her new plan, and he also rejects it. Akiho becomes disheartened, but, realizing that building a new robot doesn’t change her original dream, she gets on board with the plan.

From the official episode guide:

A monopole suddenly falls into the hands of Kaito. After showing it to the others, they become curious as to why such a scientifically advanced object appeared, saying, “From a theoretical point of view, such a thing existing shouldn’t be possible,” and even conjecturing, “Could it be used to power the GunBuild-1?” However, in the end, they abandon the GunBuild-1. Subaru is convinced that they should start on a new robot, but Aki-chan still can’t give up on the GunBuild-1.

Looking at the story, Subaru considers the situation and formulates his own plan to use the materials and support proposed by JAXA to build a new robot. This action has raised Subaru’s popularity among fans, with many of them saying things like, “Subaru is so cool! I didn’t expect that from him!”

We see the first plans of using the Poke-Com’s AR function in tandem with the robot’s unveiling at the World Fair. After this, all five members of the Robotics Club, making use of each of their assets, band together to build a robot only they can.
