Kotobukiya's Nero caused quite a bit of controversy when he was first put up for pre-order. Kotobukiya is generally known for making more affordable figures, at least compared to other figure companies. However, Nero's price was way higher than any collector probably expected and many of us were skeptical that they could deliver on their promise of "overwhelming quality" that they stated on their Japanese pre-order page.
