The new series is made from a different type of material from the usual Figure Builders, and most likely painted by a different manufacturer as well. First of all, the paint is more glossy, with less details. It looks more painted by an actual brush than the previous airbrushed series. Second, the figures are a little larger than the previous Figure Builders. Third, the material feels more durable and stuff. The parts fit together and stay in place, unlike the previous Figure Builders that feel more fragile or prone to warping from heat. These still have the same interlocking base as other series.
