The book is pretty cool and slick, everything is in japanese, if you cannot read most of the kanji do not worry! they have written down the hiragana characters right next to the complicated looking kanji so you can still enjoy reading it, great for japanese beginners as long as you know your hiragana and most meanings and conjugations.
