At first it took me a second to adjust my grip bc the guard of the sword part is where I would normally put my fingers but I got used to it quickly enough. They're textured at their tip to help with gripping food and I was able to eat a bowl of udon just fine with them. They're sturdy and a good size that would be comfortable for anybody's hands and they come with a cute little stand that makes them fun. Recommend if you're looking for eating utensils with a bit more flare!
