Elephants have always been my favourite animal since I was a child and I have a tendency to collect them. Wooden, ceramic, metal, and stone figurines, a piggybank from the 1920s, larger statues, candle holders, etc. When I was very young, I had an elephant stuffed toy that was my favourite, but by adulthood it had long since worn out beyond the point of salvage-ability.
