I didn't love the art style but it teaches what it promises.

I did not particularly love the art style of this book but it does show you how to draw different types of guys. There are lots of examples of different types of men and you should be able to adapt them in to your style if you don't particularly like the style of the drawings in the book. Over all a good reference if you are trying to add some variety to your style.

Lots of hand examples, but no break down of how each is drawn.

I think this book is going to be insanely helpful when I am drawing any hands. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that is does not break down each pose into parts which I find helpful. It is mainly just reference pictures of tons of hand positions.

The best book I have seen for Male Bodys

I have a lot of books on drawing and this is easily the best book I have found for drawing male bodies and muscles. I really like that it gives you examples of actual men next to the drawings so you can see how the muscles translate from life to the page. They are very good at breaking down each muscle and muscle group and showing you how to draw them in different degrees of development. You are also given examples of the male form in many different poses. In the back of the book there are hundreds pictures of the male models in different positions. (I assume these are also on the CD Rom that comes with the book but I have not tried it yet. )

Not a Fetish Book

I really like this book for what it is, but it is not a fetish artwork book, in my opinion. I expected it to be more fetish related (ropes, latex, masks, sexual situations, etc.) but it just isn't. It is mainly showing you the drawing style of characters you would find in fetish works not the characters in fetish situations. It is a really good book in that it gives you a lot of information about how to draw these characters properly with line and shadow. I particularly like the art style of the fetish books so I will find this book helpful in creating characters in this style. It would get 5 stars if they had examples of characters in fetish situations.

Not as much there as I expected

This is a nice book and shows you different ways to draw good looking men, but I expected a bit more variety in the book. The drawing style is pretty consistent and will teach you that specific style well (if you like this style then this is a good book for you). If you want something that offers variety in the examples another book may be better.

Great book with lots of reference!

I really enjoyed this book. There is a lot of reference on how to draw each part of the body. They also give you bunches of couples poses, romantic and non-romantic and how each pose is made using dummies. The book of course is in Japanese, but is a fantastic reference even if you can not read it.

Great guide lines and variations.

I like this book. I like that it breaks down the faces and bodies with guidelines and gives you lots of examples of features. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is I did not care for the main facial style the chose to break down in to parts. Some of the art that they had as additional examples was a lot better than the main art. Still very useful even if you can not read Japanese.
