It's all in the reflexes.
I have to say, I love the design of this figure, and I love the trio all together. The designs and poses are great and were meticulously crafted. However, Tifa specifically suffers a problem the other two do not. She's barely able to stand on her base with the incredibly short and poorly positioned support pegs on the base. Aeris does fine and has the additional support of her dress, cloud has extra large support pegs and additional foot supports to accommodate the larger size, and they just forgot about poor Tifa I guess. Even handling carefully, she wobbles on her base precariously. I'm so happy with the quality of the statue, that I just can't surmise what they were thinkin...Read more
I never dared to dream that Today's Menu would ever get figures, but here we are. A fun light hearted pose from Saber ready to cook and priced for any fan to afford.
Shopping in the more budget oriented region of statues is always a crapshoot, but this figure does not disappoint. Good sculpt and pose, I love the use of an unattached chair that leaves some room for picking out just how you want to pose her. Not every figure needs to be latched onto a base.
Been a big fan of this manga since day one, having been a fan of the mangaka's previous work, "Dagashi Kashi". One thing they nail each time is their character designs. Nazuna was no exception. I was stoked to see this figure pop up for pre-order, and I'm even happier seeing the figure in person. It's a hefty figure with a solid stand, all dynamically posed as Nazuna flies through the night sky. Incredibly well crafted and worth each penny.
There's not too many figures that I've purchased that I would say aren't worth the price even at the low price point of 20 bucks, but these things are more than a little jank.
I had been looking for a statue series for Gotoubin for awhile. One that wouldn't break the bank to acquire all five quints. I settled on these due to the price point and the unique dresses for each sister. These all come with the statue in two piece (that very much struggle to fit together), and slot into a base...kind of. If you try to fit it properly into the base, you will end up with the poses existing at odd angles. Adjusting these a bit, you get something marginally more...natural b...Read more
It's kind of sad in a way, that I've long since stopped playing Arknights by the time of the arrival of this Amiya figure. That said, I have no regrets about this purchase. I've never bought a "noodle topper" figure before, though I understand their origin. I just thought it was hella cute and would look nice sitting on the books on my desk. This was a correct assumption. Fore the price point, lots of detail and color, and a fun dynamic pose.
Would recommend.
This is a pretty solid figure. The sculpt detail is great, even if it doesn't quite achieve the level of the prototype picture. Honestly, I think this would be a great statue for a hundred bucks. At two hundred (msrp), it doesn't click. This is a non scale figure, with a couple instances of questionable color matching.
However, at the end of the day, if you love Misato (or Pen Pen), your options are limited these days. This is a perfectly serviceable option if you need them on the shelf, as long as you aren't paying full price.
As the title said. I ordered this thinking I ordered a 10 inch figure. I did not observe the "1/4 scale" in the item name nor the dimensions on the item's listed page. Today, I received a box from TOM that I could have probably fit inside if I tried. "That's weird," I thought to myself, "maybe they shipped two figures to me." Then I opened the box.
At 18 inches tall, Alice does not fit in my Ikea glass display case, nor does she fit on my manga bookshelves. I literally have the statue sitting in the middle of my desk right now because I have zero idea what to do with here. I also don't know how much shame I have.

This one just arrived in the mail, and it's already looking very at home in the display case. While smaller in size than the typical statues I spring for, I loved the dramatic windswept pose design. While some details especially his legs and feet obviously feel a bit swept under the rug, I didn't begrudge the price *too* much. Though it would feel like an even better value at 5-10 dollars cheaper.
...for how awesome this thing is. First of all, imagine my confusion getting home and seeing a giant box on my doorstep from Tokyo Otaku. With the shipping timelines being what they are, this caught me completely off guard. Next, I don't think my brain fully processed that this thing is a 10 inch tall statue. Never has Darkness looked so good. Beautiful design, elegant pose, I couldn't be happier.
The epitome of exactly what I wanted and expected from a giant slime bead pillow.
Big. Blue. Squishy.
This is probably my first purchase on this site where I'm legitimately disappointed. It's just not the quality that's advertised in the pictures. The details just aren't there. This is ultimately a figure that's similar to a figma, but putting it next to my Lucina figma, you can see the incredible difference in quality (and honestly, figma is a fraction of the price on top of it).
I get there's the square enix tax on FF merch, and usually I'll just take as it is, but my girl y'shtola deserved so much better.
This thing has heft. I like feeling that when I take an expensive figure like this out of the box. First part that sticks out is a nice base design. Too many bases these days only go as far as putting in foot holes and maybe a support for the statue. This one really pops visually. The box also has a fair few accessories so you can do full or partial battle gear or just civilian style.
Everything just looks great here from the hair to accessories, etc. I was unsure about snagging this at first as I have mixed feelings about Toga in general, but all the hesitation has been washed away with how well made this is.
I keep buying statues like this, and one day I will eventually learn. First off, this is a well built figure with good detail and a dynamic pose. Most of the pieces fit together well except for two. The stand, was a bit tight. Not unworkable but I definitely felt I had to force it more than I was comfortable with. On the flipside, the flexible part of his scarf simply didn't hold into the slot it plugs into the scarf around his neck. This is a similar issue I had to the keyboard strap on my Megumin musician statue as well. They don't hold, or if they do hold, they only hold for you to place and not maneuver like you need to if you want it to match the pose on the box.

Look, it's really hard to review a book you can't actually read. However, there's really enough else going on here to make up for it. A big beautiful book full of colour illustrations, pages of character outfit design guides, and more.
If you're a Yuru Camp fanatic, you won't regret having this book on the shelf.
What I love about the nendo series is how reliable the product line is in its quality, attention to detail, and inclusion of fun accessories. This is no exception.
What's especially nice getting this figure is it's one of those instances where goodsmile didn't abandon a series after producing one or two lonely characters to move on to the next big thing. Yuru Camp has gotten an almost full line up at this point (along with alternate variants as well). So, I'm happy to finally have Ena who looks great, and can now camp along with the rest of the gang.
Just waiting on drunk sensei now.
Okay, there's a lot to like about this figure. A great sculpt. A dynamic pose with fun theme. Actual fabric fishnets on the legs. She's about to let forth an explosion of rock!
Except she doesn't want to hold her damn instrument. I'll make this brief, none of the mounting points for the keytar hold properly, making me really wish this was all one solid piece instead of now having an awesome statue with an awkward instrument floating away from her hand that's supposed to grasp it.
It's 95% of the way there to being a truly great figure. Which is mostly great if it wasn't priced at a point where I expected a bit better.

This is a really just plain fun statue. The dynamic pose and expression, variety of paint/material textures are just a really great combination to show off the solid quality I had hoped I'd get with this product. A perfect addition to the collection.
I'ma big fan of Ilya Kuvshinov's artwork and was excited to see his design for Major Kusanagi.
I'm certainly not disappointed with the final product. Overall it's simple, but that doesn't mean they skimped on detail for this figure. It's a great addition to the shelf.
First impressions, I don't think I realized how big this figure was going to be. Most of my other figures must be on a slightly smaller scale because she stands a good head taller than the rest. The details are amazing, the way the dress and her hair are blowing in the wind, the falling apple. All create a very unique looking statue.
I currently don't have a shelf open for it, so it's with a few figures on my desk at home. One thing I do notice is that because it only has a single point of contact with the base, it wobbles anytime my desk does. This does make me a bit concerned about the wear on that connection. I think generally it's balanced as to not put undu...Read more
