I know nothing about Street Fighter, I just know I love my girlfriend Karin very much.
I wasn't expecting DVA to be so poseable or come with as many parts as she did!
I've waited so long for Akko to come out, and she is perfect!
I got this guy as something cheap to add to my order to get a TOM points bonus, and he is very worth it. He's made of a soft plastic and has hollow feet so that you can perch him pretty much anywhere you want. Definitely recommend if you need a few more items in your cart or a fun gift for a friend.
I'm glad Figuarts Zero is upping their game in terms of sculpts for the Outer Senshi, especially since these are the only recent scale figures they've gotten so far. Neptune looks wonderful, especially when paired with Uranus. However, their paint jobs still look a little cheap, so don't expect too much of an improvement in quality over the others in the line.
First: the sculpt is absolutely beautiful, and what we should've been getting from the beginning with this line.
However, the quality control is still mediocre at best, and this is probably the worst job they've done so far, as the plastic they've used for the base itself and the bow attached to it are completely different colors and textures, at least on mine.
Fortunately, if you buy her with Neptune, you can use the shared base included with Neptune to display her instead.
All in all, I'm grateful my beautiful space lesbians finally got figures, I just wish their quality was better.
I know little to nothing about the Fate series, but as someone who's weak for kimono figures I just had to have her. I'm currently displaying her next to my figures from the Madoka maiko line, and she's (appropriately, I guess) a few heads taller than them.
An anthology featuring some of my favorite characters in Fates: the child units. It could do with more Asugi (in my humble opinion), but overall it's a great collection.
The magazine doesn't offer anything particularly new and innovative, but it does come with a giant double-sided Yuri!!! on Ice/Mob Psycho 100 poster and a YoI clear file, both of which I love (the Mob poster is currently displayed on my door). There's also a nice feature on the current season of Gintama and a few bonus posters mixed in. Overall, worth it if you're a Gintama or YoI collector.
A nice anthology featuring all your favorites from Fates, with a good variety of art styles and stories.
The book is bigger than I expected (I'll have a bit of trouble fitting it on my bookshelf), and includes the issue each illustration was originally featured in, if you can read Japanese. It also comes with an adorable Mob Psycho clear file featuring the image on the cover. All in all, this book was a nice surprise. I'm almost tempted to go back and buy some of the issues just to get some of these pictures in poster form.
Just like the others in the series, Maiko Kyouko is beautifully sculpted and also contrasts nicely with Maiko Sayaka.
Venus is a huge, huge improvement over the quality of some of the earlier senshi. I wasn't sure about her based on the photos, but she's much nicer in person.
...and into my wallet.
After a week of preparations, we were wed last Saturday. Our reign over the town of Gayville will be a long and prosperous one. The Old Queen is wed; long live the Queen.
I originally bought this to meet the price minimum for free shipping, and I'm so glad I did! It's bigger than I was expecting for a clear file, and of course it's adorable as all heck.
I admit I wasn't expecting a lot quality-wise out of this figure given the previous entries in this line, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jupiter is not only better quality than both Moon and Mars, but better looking in person than in the pictures. Sure, the quality still leaves quite a bit to be desired, and she does look a bit odd from certain angles (dat leg anatomy tho) but if you're already interested in this line, or just (understandably) desperate for any SM figures you can find, Jupiter is well worth the purchase.
I keep looking at this figure on my shelf and I can't get over how c o o l it looks. The base is pretty plain (as is par for the course for a GEM figure), but the sculpt and great paintjob more than make up for it. Highly recommended if you're a fan of Gintama or Toushi.
I debated getting her at first because of the price, but this is easily one of the best figures I own in terms of quality, plus she's gorgeous (especially if you're weak for traditional Japanese clothing like I am). The only other figure I own from the set is Mami, but they look great together.
