I like Kancolle and Azur Lane, and the latter is definitely a bit more geared towards the "Ladies" part of Boat Ladies lol.
This is a really high quality figure, feels sturdy, and overall makes sense for the price it was. I personally preferred this option to the version with the chainlink fence behind her. It displays a little easier on shelves where real estate is limited, and you're not missing any of the main focus, which is Bremerton. Point of note, hair sculpt is REALLY clean. It's very close to the promo pics.
Dude I freakin' love Morrigan. Iconic character, great and memorable design, fun to play as in Darkstalkers games. All great qualities. For the price this is, I think this may genuinely be one of the favourites in my collection. It's a nice fig with no blemishes or drawbacks, and the price was right. If this gets a re-run or you see it elsewhere, buy it.
Got this for a close friend as a gift, super cool figure. Almost perfect scale for DND if you're wanting your party to fight MH bosses lol! I think what's neat is that even at this smaller scale the Monster Hunter details show through. At the price and the size I wasn't initially sure what to expect, but it's very cool.
Worth grabbing along with the others from this line if you're a fan or a DM now contemplating how to put your party into a 5E compatible Monster Hunter setting, lol
Hard to miss with Sonico figures, but this one is definitely another hit. The figure itself is fantastic, and honestly the only real issue is her stand being fiddly, doesn't seem to want to display her at an ideal standing height, so sometimes she slips back on the base a bit. With that being said, she doesn't fall OFF the base or stand which could lead to damage, so the stand is ultimately accomplishing its *main function.*
Generally just a really good figure with nice parts. It's not 1:1 with figma scale figures, but close enough that it's not egregious displayed together with them on a shelf. A few fiddly bits to be aware of so you don't break them, main...Read more
So first thing, the figure is smaller than a comparable poseable figure might be (figma, frame arms, etc) but that's not to its detriment! It's actually quite neat to see how many different types of parts are included here for variation. It's got a very Polynian feel of interconnectivity between this and some of their other products, and to be totally real, it's quite easy to interact with similar/slightly larger accessories and weapons or parts from other kits and even other brands. This is a very nice product for the price point, and I'd definitely consider buying another someday.
...The shipping took nearly two calendar years for it to arrive. That's an insane delay. I am glad it got here at all in the end, but I have shipping time delay emails spanning over 17 months. Considering it was also pre-ordered, that's a crazy long wait time.
The figure itself is really solid for the price point. It's a larger sized figure, it's got fabric tights and a pretty nice design. I ordered it when it was just the preview illustration, and the end product matches it quite well. I'd say pretty much the only issue I found on mine was the paint line on the shirt bled over a tad into the bust area, but not in a way that's very noticeable- pretty s...Read more
Protagonist wakes up from a medically induced coma to treat his disease to find out men have nearly gone extinct. The population is crashing and needs to be, well, repopulated.
This is where the expected ecchi shenanigans ensue.
With that being said, this series also spends a lot of time on our guy trying to stay faithful to the woman he loves, who is seemingly missing and there's an emotionless lady who looks just like her waiting when he wakes up.
Mysteries? In my ecchi series? It's more likely than you think.
Full disclosure, as a non-fluent reader some of the plot twists here may be a bit lost on me. The standard "World's End Harem" recipe for storytelling is 100% in effect here though- lots of the *expected content.*
It's pretty well exactly what it says on the cover-
People bothered by lingerie, stripper outfits and party city "sexy" versions of costumes probably oughta skip this one. For anyone specifically drawn to the aforementioned though, it's a pretty neat guide of how to subtractively create outfits from some much more modest existing clothing types to make something a lot more suggestively tailored.
A lot of backgrounds of contemporary or generally modern settings can be make-or-break with some of the smaller details, the way crowds and passerby are posed and move, etc.
A lot of that stuff also isn't super exciting to draw because you don't want to detract from the focal point of the art or the central character, but when it's not done well or just generally left out, it's noticeable! Some of the foremost manga and comic artists make subtle but great use of these techniques and I think this is a very useful book. A few step-by-steps are weaker here or there, but for the most part it's very strong and easy to follow.
I think this is one of the most universally applicable anime artbooks I've ever seen. Honestly, going beyond anime style the pointers on how to get character emotions across is really, really well done and uses good examples for showing more subtle expressions that might be harder for a self-taught artist or someone whose instruction didn't delve as deep into studying how other animators and illustrators do expressions.
Highly recommended for any artist.
Indeed full of techniques to express soaked and see-through looks of clothing and beachwear.
Obviously this is a very *specific* application of art techniques, and while you could probably argue a non-sexy way of using it, it's pretty unapologetic about what it's looking to impart techniques for and why lol.
The cover and title make it pretty clear, but if buxom anime women are a dealbreaker for your enjoyment or learning process via artbooks, this is probably gonna be a pass for you. If you ARE onboard with that however, it's really solid. A few tutorials here or there that I think could've benefited from an additional visual step or two here or there ...Read more
Taught through the medium of buxom and scantily clad ladies primarily, but a lot of this is applicable elsewhere. Of course, not every character is going to be as glistening and shiny as a swimsuit-clad woman emerging from the water on a shoreline, but it's a really solid look at how to get some nice blending without it feeling muddy, as well as a really decent way to help visualize and rationalize what base tones to use to accomplish that.
If you can't get past the dental floss swimsuit on the cover, this probably is not the reference book for you lol.
Thankfully, this site's got a lot of really nice reference books that are a bit more subdued, and I've boug...Read more
I got the first to fifth volumes in one batch as listed here, and it's hard to tell if that's all there is or just all that is available for purchase right now. For some reason this spinoff seems a little under-documented compared to the main series.
When I first saw this series a while online ago, I assumed it was a fan doujin focusing on Lucoa, and found out it's an official thing when I saw it officially posted here. The book's art and plotlines do definitely FEEL very doujin-like sometimes, but that's not a knock against it. If you're here for Lucoa and occasionally a guest appearance from a familiar face in lascivious scenarios, then this is the s...Read more
Generally these books have the vibe of the show's obligatory "Lucoa shows up and either embarasses someone else or gets kicked out of an event for indecent clothing" gags and then kind of just... focuses on her shenanigans and revealing attire for a whole chapter lol
I'm of the opinion that it's nice that they have this side series as an outlet for this stuff, because it's fun raunchy comedy stuff, but the main series would lose a lot of the character beats if it was always THIS level of suggestive. With that being said, potential material for another season of the anime or a Lucoa-centric OVA maybe?
Time will tell I guess!
I had assumed the title was a pun on "XXX" as in the kind of raunchy material in these books (Which are VERY ecchi by the by, and sometimes skirt the line of 18+ pretty closely with some panels and angles of Lucoa's clothing!) but it's a XX chromosome joke on her being a dragon "Woman."
Your mileage will probably vary based on how that joke makes you feel, because it's very ecchi and definitely not concerned with being politically correct. If you're here for dragon oppai, you're in the right place lol.
What can I say besides "Real Lucoa Fanservice Hours?"
It's a continuation of the previous book's episodic settings which are gag-based- the story runs off of the logic of "what could happen here to make Lucoa do something sexy" or the inverse of "What sexy thing can Lucoa do that makes things happen here"
It's pretty much what you'd expect, so anime-only fans wanting more character development of the core cast may not get much out of it, but I think based on the cover art they know their market for this one! lmao
It's the Lucoa chapters of the main book dialed up to a million in this spinoff lol
If you wanted dragon lady fanservice, it's here. Book 1 is already putting her in some absurd outfits and I'm here for it.
Always good to brush up on some cultured art techniques lmao
The style here has a much "softer" look to it than styles I'd looked at before and makes for a good reference to diversify art inspirations. Good point to venture off in more experimentation as an artist for sure.
(Just make sure it's not sitting out when grandma comes to visit lol)
I really like how impactful the style is here. Great use of vivid colours and linework, everything's very clean but feels very freeform. Super inspiring.
Haven't read through more than this volume yet but it's cool to see a spinoff pursue the themes of the original series with the more fantastical themes. Can't really give too much of an opinion till reading more, but appealing start at least.
It's another fun volume, honestly one of the more entertaining things in the midst of the ecchi plots is Kogarashi being savant skilled in specific tasks because of different spirits previously possessing him, which continue to get more and more absurd as the series goes on. Pacing is interesting as some arcs are very continuous and some are more like episodic character themed stories. Worth reading, art style is very appealing.
This is a very nice Albedo!! I'm pretty pleasantly surprised by how well it scales with some other sculpts of the character that are in standing poses. Great pose, hair looks fragile but doesn't seem at risk of breakage without unnecessarily rough handling.
I don't own many kneeling figures, so it'll be a nice variation in the poses.
Her ears are surprisingly tall! Very nice quality for the price point, and it's a very different vibe to the other outfits she's gotten in this line. Don't get me wrong, the swimsuits etc are nice, but it's always good to have more variety. I wasn't sure I'd be sold on the purple colour, but I'm pleasantly surprised, feels pretty tasteful in colour blocking her design here.
Very nice figure. It is freestanding on the base so ensure stable shelving or display!
Nice quality, worth picking up if you're looking for a compact scale Nami for your collection.
If you're a pin collector it's another nice one! The other 3 were out of stock but picked this one up.
Got this for my GF this holiday season and she loved it. We'd been rewatching the show so it's very cool to find it in stock here. The little Kilala that comes with it is a definite highlight.
This one was delayed a lot so it took a while before I had it in hand, but it's really good quality for this price point. Scales well with other Fate girls, and it's just generally a really solid rendition of the character in her second ascension for the summer. The only fiddly bit is the hoop's connection point.
Bought for my girlfriend's birthday and she loved it! It's really nice seeing all the details and some differences in where the designs started compared to the released versions. She's been wanting this for a while so I'm glad I got it for her.
I think Kaname's shirt is my favourite of the variations I bought. It's bright, light and colourful and goes with most of what I wear already. Super cool and very comfortable make. I think the line of Walkure 2022 stuff is pretty nice, and I hope we see more cool Macross stuff like this again soon.
What a cool kit. Really cool to see that it keeps the charm of the original anime while also feeling like it could be displayed beside a more contemporary Gundam, real robot mecha like Obsolete or the Mazinkaiser variations. It's even at home displayed with Transformers figures too! I think they did an awesome job putting this one into physical form. Tons of great accessories, transforming, lots of articulation. So rad!
This is rad. Picked it up on sale, what a treat. Great for mecha fans!
This is a nice one to wear casually outside or at casual functions because it's not a full anime girl print shirt or the like, it's basically a band shirt with a fun font on it.
This is a really comfy shirt! It's always nice when the anime merch is also genuinely wearable and comfortable.
I like the character design for Saki and the premise is fairly standard for this stuff, but also pretty humorous. Worth a buy if you're in the market for something different in the genre.
This is a very fun buy. Always nice to have some more anime wear to use, got it on sale and it's been cool!
No complaints! Decent quality character sleeves. It's as expected and a pretty straightforward product. Make sure to confirm your card sizes before ordering to make sure they're the right size!
I really love the Moderoid line. It's had some higher points in the early releases over some more average kits, but they're consistently putting out really good stuff these days. I really appreciate the love a lot of older and more obscure mecha shows have gotten through this line, and Dann is for SURE a highlight. Love how this mech's unconventional design has been adapted to a very solid three dimensional kit. Big fan of the show so this is a big get. Waiting for El Dora to restock to get the crew together!
Albedo's choice of attire here is pretty in keeping with how she's characterized in the show lol. I think the translucent parts look better in some areas than others but it's overall very nice! I really like the sculpt.
This is a really nice figure with a pretty nice silhouette- it's nice that we've gotten so much variety of outfits in this range for Albedo. I think the highlight here is the different hairstyle and the detailed obi. Very good quality for the price.
Very nice kit. It's super cool to see Shin Getter 1 get a Moderoid release like this. Definitely feels styled to match the other Moderoid releases, which is nice for consistency across the set. Only thing I'm feeling is missing is the effect parts for a Stoner Sunshine attack.
Shares a lot of architecture with the other Mazinkaiser Moderoids, but it's totally SKL Kaiser. All the bits you'd expect to feel extra, crazy, over the top and edgy are just that. In particular, the wings, guns and sword are real highlights.
I think the only thing that I wish was there is optional battle damage parts reflecting the damage Kaiser receives in the OVAs. Nothing customization can't fix, but seemed odd given how prominent its scar is in the storytelling of the series.
Riot is really something else. It's great to see a comparatively more obscure Blodia variant get a kit, but it's even cooler that it's THIS good. The lower body and the boosters feel really well realized, it's sturdy enough to support the assymetrical upper body and keep it all balanced, while also having some level of articulation to EACH of the little thrusters. Very nice. While not "poseable" in the traditional sense, it really benefits from an action base in a way most mecha kits usually don't- mecha kits with stands often need them due to a lack of balance, but Riot is perfectly stable on its own, and actually feels like it's jumping or flying whe...Read more
Mai is a very nice figure. Everything feels solid, no quality assurance issues, very nice sculpt in general. Basically 1:1 with the promo photos which is awesome.
It's nice to see all the 90's fighting game girls getting figures that better reflect their original designs and costumes.
Lots to love here, but also some odd or baffling issues too.
For context, Big O took the brunt of part of the shipment I received being caved in, and while none of the runners were broken, I can't discount that some of the following fitment issues might result from that.
Big O looks authentic to the show and fantastic, offers some cool option parts for the weaponry and has a set of articulated pistons for the signature melee attacks the mech is known for. However, there are some VERY creaky joints, around the hips in particular, that definitely made me pause and double check if I had put the wrong hip on each leg. They receive a lot of torsion and may risk some breaka...Read more
Kurumi has gotten a wide range of outfits, canonical or otherwise, and it's nice to see something more casual than her Astral Dress or cosplay outfits get some airtime. Very happy with the price point it's at too- this line has been really solid for affordable and accessible Kurumi figures.
Big figure! With BIG... ribbony raiments! It's extremely detailed and nicely made, and wow, it's like a 1:1 replica of the ingame art for her by Raita! With that being said- it IS a ONE TO ONE replica of Raita's style, and this figure is NOT small, lol.
Wherever you display her, she's gonna be very visible to any visitors you have. I hope your significant others, family and friends are as good-humoured about this as mine are! Hahaha.
With that being said... if you're the intended buying audience for this figure like I am, I doubt that's going to pose much of a deterrent to you lol.
This is one of a few nice Fate Grand Order figures I own ...Read more
It's a great depiction of her timeskip outfit, which, weirdly, I haven't seen many figures of and even fewer at this price. Pretty solid quality, just has some awkward seam lines on her top and some other areas. Paintwork is solid, just not outstanding. Nothing to complain about for the price, but probably not a centrepiece of a figure shelf or display. It looks really nice when paired up with other Nami figures or bishoujo figures at the same scale!
Very nice little display fig. I wish it was more exactly scaled with the HG or RG Zaku, but that's a pretty small nitpick considering the price point. Feels classy too- like, I could put this on my work desk and it wouldn't feel out of place in a more strict professional setting compared to something like an HG kit on a display stand.
This is definitely the best Coreful Albedo we've gotten so far. The swimsuit one had some odd seams and texuring on the one I received, whereas this one is really quite perfect in most regards. Yes, the Pop Up Parade Albedo is the definitive winner at this price point still I'd say, but this is a very nice 2nd place, and a worthwhile buy if you can't track down the former.
Sweater has a nice texture to it, hair feels pretty nicely sculpted and catches the light nicely, and the horns are a definite improvement over the swimsuit Albedo.
Eva-08 kind of got the short end of the stick in screen time in 3.0, but it absolutely rocked in 3.0+1.0.
Love that we've got the whole loadout of weapons and the exoskeletal structures on the arms. The only downside is that one of the arms' pistons were already cracked when I received it, which limits the poseability and overall score I can give it.
It's absolutely jampacked with parts and weapons, super poseable, and generally has everything an EVA fan could want- I just wish the pistons on the right arm were a little sturdier!
While Kurumi would never have to worry about having enough time to spend at the beach with her powers, at least we don't need to worry about spending too much on her thanks to these affordable non-scale Coreful figures. I've bought all of them released so far, and I've been very impressed by the consistency in quality and how well they all look together when displayed. Colour consistency in specific has been really nice too. Variations in shade and tone for sure, but a shelf of nice red and black Kurumi figures is very visually satisfying.
This figure rocks. I can only hope we see more and more Street Fighter mainstays from PUP of the same scale and quality. Cammy is a great character, and the pose and sculpt really capture the beauty and toughness of her character. It is an unapologetically extra and vivacious figure design and it's very true to the character's design. I'm very glad it's true to the original and doesn't over-emphasize or downplay anything. Feels 90's in its aesthetics.
Very great quality, and it's nice to have a Scathach figure that's attainably priced and this detailed. Really enjoy this one a lot, the buttons and folds of her bodysuit are really nicely sculpted, and have that form-fitting kind of texture fans would expect from how she's usually drawn.
Loved seeing several great shots of action and combat in this one. Beautiful linework in the Gundam Unicorn sections especially, but amazing quality throughout. Much enjoyed this one.
There are indeed 1000 cosplays shown here of all different crafts and skill level complexities. It's a great read, and while there's definitely some heavy featuring of most recent series at the time of the book's publishing, that's part and parcel to the cosplay world as well, which tends to tie into the content of what's upcoming or recently released with which characters cosplayers choose to make costumes of. I really have to give due credit to the photographers whose work is used within- they do a very good job of capturing the best qualities of the cosplays included.
A good cross-section of ongoing Gundam fiction of the 2016 year. Great mix of content here, and it's all beautifully drawn. A very LARGE book too, so there's lots to read. These large format monthlies are a real treat, makes me sad to see they've been phased out in physical releases here in North America. Recalls a lot of the charm of Shonen Jump books and the like.
These figures are very cute. They capture Schulz' art style of the early years of his comics very nicely- I think they're a worthwhile purchase for anyone with fond memories of the comics, or as a gift for family members who grew up with the originals as my family did.
A fun support vehicle, and a great peripheral for the Moderoid Mazinkaiser. Make sure you've got the corresponding mecha for it though, otherwise it becomes just a futuristic tank with some funky limb-like parts!
Missed getting into this show when it aired, and this was a nice insight into the show. Also helped me find the parts of it I wanted to see firsthand. Nice to see the monster battler genre alive and well.
Loved seeing some familiar mecha in new and exciting artwork. It's a great little jaunt into a much-beloved and sometimes under-appreciated mecha series. I think it's just a blast whenever we get to see new VOTOMS content.
I bought tons of these guys on sale as army builders, and I've loved them lots. The literal only fiddly bit is with the hand parts when holding certain weapons, and only the heavier ones. The kukri style knife and rifle are totally at home on the mech, and honestly it's a little baffling it's taken so long for us to get a FMP kit of the iconic grunt mech that's THIS good.
Lots of great little parts here that can be put to great use even if not with the intended kit. Love the simplicity of working with the materials and the details.
Not quite to my personal tastes as a reader. Wanted to branch out and didn't really know what this one would be like from the summary. It's not poor quality by any means, but definitely more of an experimental buy for me. Definitely a good buy for the right buyer!
It's very cute and very tiny. I like the little character and the quality is good- only downside is it's a LITTLE wiggly in the soffit fits of the parts into the base. It's a great example of how to do an acrylic figure in a very small format! Colourful, fun and visually engaging.
Love the detailing and careful thought put into showing historical warships and how their designs translated to the girls of Kancolle. I bought two copies of the book by fluke, but found that it was worth having a second copy to share to friends when looking at doing scale modelling of warships and craft from the era.
It's nice to see the origins of some of the charming shipgirls of Kancolle in an accessible and highly visual format. The key details should be clear to those with or without the ability to read Japanese!
Little Mogami is a welcome addition to the fleet. It's hard NOT to like the charming little boat, but the chibi style and beaming smile make this a great little ship for a great little price. Very pleased with my purchase.
She is tiny enough to find a spot on your desk, dashboard or windowsill!
There's so much going on here. Great effort was put into showcasing everything about the functionality of this unique and marvelous railway. I've spent many an evening just flipping through the pages and enjoying the mechanical ingenuity and charm of how the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway works.
Day and night photos, paths of the tracks, individual features on the locomotives and their routes, as well as rolling stock and locomotives on sidings and in for repair/refurbishment at the time of the photographer's visit make for a really cool look at all the railway has to offer. More than that, they also have a GREAT blueprint for the distinctive locomotives the railway us...Read more
Really cute little short story- definitely feels like a great introduction into the story. Unfortunately I wasn't able to grab the other books that follow, but it's a great little read nonetheless.
I'm not personally a Die Hard Lord of Vermillion fan, and honestly I feel like I might've been seeing some of the stuff included here if I'd gotten into it at the time of its release! The characters are great, love seeing their advanced details and styling, and the colours are so deep and expressive- each page feels very meaningfully, lovingly crafted.
Everything from cosplays with 10,000 feathers and intricate detailing, to armour and mechas, to swimsuits and other more revealing outfits. Tons of great names from across the cosplay world, and honestly kind of a time capsule with the benefit of time passed since this book's release! It's crazy to see where some cosplayers have gone in style and types of series they cosplay since the year 2015.
Very cool artwork in this one. I have a few of Takayama's other books, but this one's a very welcome addition! I really enjoy the outfit detailing and dynamism of the poses in here in particular.
The T.com books also just have a very nice tactile feel as you read them, they've got an enjoyable texture!
Kurumi has a charming outfit here, cute design with clear parts and frilly details. Pose is super cute and fun, and our favourite time-traveling gunslinger looks appealing and expressive. I've bought quite a few Kurumi figures, and while this one is not my top pick, it's a great buy for the price. I'm hopeful that we'll eventually get one of Kurumi in her standard and Raziel Astral Dresses for the new season when that comes out!
Wanted to branch out and look at some other artists beyond my usual scope when I bought a bunch on sale! I'm pleased to say that this one was a worthwhile look. Though I'm not sure I'd go out seeking out every piece of the artist's work after buying this, I feel enriched for having bought it and tried something new.
Definitely another win in the Nekobayashi category. All these Allegorica books are a fun read and a welcome mix of content from all kinds of worlds. I will say, this one didn't grab me QUITE as much as some of the other collections, but it's a beautifully illustrated book and I think a lot of that comes down to personal taste. As a product and on quality alone, it's a solid buy.
Kurumi's an on-sight buy for me in a certain price range, and she's nicely detailed here. A lot of the texture comes from the sculpt itself and not paint apps, which is not altogether unwelcome- it feels like the figure has been designed and manufactured to make the most of what it can be in its price point, and honestly feels on par with the type of figures that would've gone for twice or three times as much even just a few years ago.
And that clock eye! Very cool.
I read the listing, but I don't think I grasped just how TALL this Miku is in her bunny outfit and heels. Very solid figure for this price point and the fishnet leggings are a super nice touch. No complaints whatsoever with the price for the quality, and it's nice to finally have a Miku in the collection. With that being said, her twintails are definitely shorter than usual here! Not a knock against it, but definitely something that may stand out if you're a die hard Miku collector with a whole shelf of 'em. Make sure you got the height on your shelf to accomodate her before you buy tho!!
Nekobayashi really has an incredible body of work. I'm not an expert in all the series represented in artwork here, but the stuff included in this one is really quite a variety. There's works that feel more bucolic and relaxed, as well as more fantastical and surreal visuals too. The artist's range is really on display here, and it's great to see the imagination and details.
I don't know if the listing quite explains and does a justice to what this product IS! It's essentially a series of art panels that form the larger art piece here that arrived in a small boxset that keeps them all together. It's super cool to see and beautifully intricate with visuals of characters flying and navigating a complex and layered urban area, and has clearly had hours, days and weeks of hard work poured into the fine details.
This book practically glows. So many shiny visuals and characters! There's some contrast to, with darker or more elegant characters in darker tones and reds too. I've been really enjoying Nekobayashi's works, super cool stuff.
I've bought a few of the Allegorica collections, and this one's got some real beautiful pieces. In particular, I'm always impressed by the armour details and filigree Nekobayashi adds to the works. Characters always feel really bold, powerful and adorned gloriously for battle or formalities. I'm really enamoured with the style and dynamism of Nekobayashi's work.
I was not personally familiar with Ohagi's works prior to making this order, but I've been pretty impressed by what was contained within this one. In particular, the soft colours, carefully detailed visuals and attention to detail of the makeup and clothing is really an inspiration that gave me pause and thought as an artist on how I detail aspects like that in my own work, and just how much variation is possible with more care and learning in that area. Great stuff!
Bought this with a batch of other books on sale here, and was pleased to find it was very well illustrated. Short and simple, but has a very unique style to some other short form books I've found.
Worth a look if you're a fan of the artist or looking to branch out in terms of the art styles you're experiencing!
Illustrations are on point and have great depth and visual highlights. Love the details throughout, even though a few of the series within I'm not personally familiar with.
Very, very nice figure for this price range. Pop Up Parade's stay winning.
Really pleased with the quality and the sculpt, her wings and jewelry in particular are great!
Automatic buy for fans of the character.
Albedo's outfit is very fun here, and surprisingly detailed. The swimsuit's necktie section is sculpted in beneath her shirt, which is cool. It's a simple figure and nothing is unexpected for the price point, but the pose and outfit make it a pretty satisfying buy- the difference in texture between the swimsuit and t-shirt is nice, though the swimsuit section is definitely the highlight. Shirt texture is a little different than photos, but not a dealbreaker.
Mukuro looks very cute with this design. I like this outfit for the character a lot, and her distinctive hair is rendered really well for a figure at this price range. Paint apps and detailing are clean and simple.
I think it'd be nice to see her normal and unlocked forms in figures at this price point! Welcome addition to the figure shelf.
I thought this was gonna be just a little keychain- she's HUGE! I really like the design and art style here, very pastel kawaii and sparkly. It's a very cute rendition of Mari that's a welcome change of pace from the standard Sadamoto style of art for Eva, as wonderful as that style is!
I will say, it's amazing provided you've got a nice spot for it! Might be a bit big for most people to pocket with their keychain!!
Paired off with the existing Miyamoto Musashi Figma I owned already! She's super cute and very nicely articulated. I find her easier to pose dynamically than the previous Musashi as well, and they look very nice displayed as a duo. Very nice figure, I'd really like to see her first and third ascension done as a figma as well!
Love this figure, this version of Musashi is killin' it. I really like how well her accessories and weapons were done, and the finish on her painted areas is amazing. Very cool pose, proportions and hair are immaculate. American flag bikini Musashi is a national treasure!
This is a very nice Nami figure for the price point, pretty faithfully recreating her design. It's also pretty close to the iconic teal bikini from the show, so it's a nice stand-in for that era of the character if you can't find something else in that price range for it. For the cost, it's very nicely finished and feels quality and sturdy, not brittle or flimsy like some figures in the cheaper range.
Took a long while for it to actually get delivered, but the figure itself is breathtaking for the price. It's also BIG for a $20 figure. Very clean sculpt, no paint errors, and generally just captures the feel of the ingame character in a very nice way. The expression on the figure in person looks a bit nicer than the stock photos? Skin tone is also a bit softer in person as well.
No issues to speak of, figure assembled pretty easily and the seams aren't visible the way she's put together.
Very nice figure for this price point, honestly much more cleanly detailed and sculpted than I had come to expect for this cost. Especially nice is the fact that the skin, clothes, tights and hair all look differently textured the way the light catches them, and that's really stellar. It's also very style accurate to the series, which is nice. I have a few older Yoko figures which are a bit off-model, so this is a definite upgrade.
All in all, very solid figure, very hard to argue with the price point.
Have this Nendo currently sat on my workstation desk in the home office. Great quality, expressions are accurate to the ingame art style and she's generally a very nice little figure. Important to note is that she IS tippy, and is going to require a stand for most poses.
Very detailed figure, legs and sleeves in particular are highly impressive, and I'd say the translucent wine jug she can carry is particularly striking in how well it's been recreated. Definitely worthwhile for the average Fate fan, and highly recommended for the Shuten/Oni fans within the community.
A bit of a strange thing to highlight, but I had worried a bit after ordering that her horns...Read more
Really love this Figma. Iowa has been a personal fave for a long time and missed this on it's first run. Really great likeness of this figure, and honestly it's just as good a military/mechanical figure as it is a bishoujo figma. Articulation on the main guns, smaller guns and other ports is nice, she can be displayed separate of her arsenal and armor, and she's just generally a charmingly well made figure.
I will say, the figure, like most Kancolle merch, is going to be determined in value by your personal enjoyment of the source material, character and the visual look of the characters. While she's a BIG figure and very cool, she's not especially graceful...Read more
Really cool to see this get a reprint. It's got a very unique stylization of the Transformers Beast Wars characters- hyper violent, very grim and takes a different approach to telling the stories of the Transmetal forms.
The artwork within is awesome, lots of incredible mecha, fantasy and more in terms of themes. Artwork is incredibly high quality and well worth the price.
A series of very nice photographs of the Welsh Highland. It's got some great shots of the railways and its functions, as well as some of the narrow gauge locomotives, at rest and in motion. Really great stuff.
The option parts to build the Rk-91 or 92 is much appreciated, and sets this Savage apart from its brethren. (I have some other versions of the mold.)
The price point is great, and I really love the round and charmingly ungainly look of it, which belies a really nicely poseable figure. No waist swivel, but it's still very nice.
Useful for pose and anatomy references for characters of this body type! Good figma quality as expected, lots of range of motion due to simple and un-blocked rotating joints.
Probably my favourite EVA unit, in spite of short screen time. Very fun design, lots of accessories and effect parts. The legs are a little odd to pose at first, but once you get a sense of how this one is supposed to stand it's pretty cool the types of poses this mantis-lookin' mech can get into.
If you enjoy EVA rebuild or EVA in general, this is a good mech to add some variety to your shelf.
These are a lot larger figures than expected, very detailed, very sturdy, and pretty cute. Similar faceplate setup to more prominent brands like Figma, but not compatible. The box says her name is Marilyn as opposed to Mallillin, but otherwise is exactly as described.
Shipping was delayed twice, but was definitely worth it! Musashi looks incredible, has lots of great accessories and is very sturdy. Arrived with all parts intact, and is a great likeness of her ingame render.
I really enjoy her character, and have also purchased the Nendoroid of Musashi!
When they talk about Team Gurren's badass leader, they're talking about him!
This Nendo is super cool. Just be careful with the small golden fixtures on his cape, they're slightly fragile.
Eva christmas postcards! Looks exactly as advertised.
Was not expecting the figure to be nearly as big as it is- the Galatine sword looks really good and the figure is overall very nice. Gawain's hair is a little off colour from the product pictures, but it still looks good for the price point.
Very few Gawain themed merch items, nice that this one is good quality!
Best pharaoh was worth the pre-order, easily one of my favourite Nendoroids. She's super cute and exactly as her ingame art would lead you to expect a physical product based on the character to be. Attention to detail and paint quality is A+.
The included Medjed and accessories just put it over the top to be an exceptional figure, and a great shelf pal for my Musashi nendoroid!
Bought this as a gift for my pops for the holidays and am excited to give it to him, he's a big fan. The quality of the build is amazing! Looks like it's right out of the claymation series, and bigger than expected.
Great book, includes all the ingame art and maps of the stages. Nice to see fullbody versions of some characters like Titan Altera and Saber Venus!
Got her entirely free thanks to TOM Points!
Besides that sweet deal, Kurumi is an amazing figure with lots of poses and parts. She is appropriately devious looking, and our fave yandere is back on point with her clock Zafkiel included as an accessory too!
As a DAL fan it's great to have a representation of my favourite character from the series. Glad she's gotten so many re-runs!
Bought her after watching the Frame Arms Girls anime. Worthwhile buy! She's a cute figure, although I am not sure what her accessory she holds is supposed to be?
Minor downsides are nervewracking sticker application for her faceplates to look right and stress marks on some plastic parts when they are cut off the runner, despite careful cutting. The original Gourai mecha is definitely a sturdier kit (and one that's easier to justify owning to visitors lol) but Gourai is very cool, even with some pretty egregiously visible underwear thanks to the short skirt.
Welcome addition to the collection though and I don't regret trying out the Frame Arms Girls kits jus...Read more
Great little mecha. Hadn't heard of this line before but pleasantly surprised by the quality. Make sure to use good quality nippers when cutting parts of the runners though!
Tons of great character art and CG. The parameters and game hints are all in JP so EN fans might be outta luck if planning to use this as an actual game guide, but the art included more than makes it worthwhile.
Only downside is that the very nice cover illustration does not include all the characters, though fans of the featured ladies probably won't mind. ;)
Getting Akashi on sale feels like a steal. She has soooo much going on, tons and tons of accessories and extra parts!
Not honestly a shipgirl I thought I'd get a fig of as a Kancolle player, but for the price and the amount of stuff she comes with it's hard to argue with the sheer facts of her build quality.
She has nearly endless display options, and all her parts hold together very well in spite of how big she gets with her boat parts attached. Her bandana is removable if you choose btw!
Great for the price I got it at on sale. Not in English obv, but has detailed photos of hundreds of iconic and obscure robots in disguise. Guidi's cover art rocks too, and the included comic story is awesome!
Contains neat stuff such as Transformers x Eva collaborations and much more! Arrives in plastic sealed polybag which is nice for collectors.
God or devil, Mazinkaiser is way cool. Those wings are a bit stressful to assemble but the result is well worth it. Had already picked up Moderoid Gurren Lagann, was surprised at the difference in proportions (Kaiser is very much his usual size and GL is SD scale) but it's all good. Kaiser is very poseable and makes me happy as a longtime fan of this particular mech, which doesn't get as much attention as the OG Mazinger Z does.
I have liked this design since the original FMP anime aired, great to get all these variants of the kit. The weapons it comes with are amazing, and was pleasantly surprised at the vibrant boxart. Welcome addition to any mecha collector's hangar, particularly with the big hammer in hand!
Roll is a manageable sized Nendo with just enough accessories for her price point. The little Rush toy was much higher quality than expected, features a pivoting head with a peg to attach to other figs and accessories if your mad scientist brain is so inclined (Wily).
Expressions and accessories are all great, holding hands are a little iffy but not too bad by Nendoroid build standards. Her neck joint was a little loose, but the replacement piece included has worked fine.
She currently sits on my desk while I work!
Very nice keychain of Berserker Lancelot. The art matches his ingame sprite and the cut of the acrylic is very distinctive and cool. The Knight of the Lake looks appropriately cool here!
Great figure, exactly as advertised. One of my fave Servants to use in FGO in physical format!
With all that heavy armour on all the time, Mordi has earned a day off at the beach.
I have also purchased Tamamo, Kiyohime, Anne and Mary, Scathach and Arturia.
Kiyohime is easily the weakest of the bunch with some paint application errors on her robes and body, but the head and spear are very nice.
Anne looks much more natural in person than in her stock photos, her expression looked kinda odd when listed online so I held off on buying her the longest, but her body sculpt and hair look amazing like her ingame model.
Mary might just be the best quality figure o...Read more
Very satisfied, it's a great figure and a really detailed one- alternate faces, hands for holding sword and drink and even an extra tiny straw in case you lose the one in the drink accessory.
