I love the LycoReco outfits. It’s a tad pricy, but Aniplex is the only maker who created scale models of these outfits. She looks great on the shelf with Takina and is an amazing addition to any cafe type display you may have going.
Really nice scale of Takina in her LycoReco outfit. The shy pose is on point and she looks great with Chisato. The only con is that it’s a bit pricy, but that’s kinda how Aniplex rolls. Definitely great for any restaurant themed shelf displays!
I love this Rengoku. The hashira himself looks excellent. Epic pose and great sculpt makes him the star. The flame effects are also really cool, however they are a bit more yellow than I thought they would be. Nonetheless, personally I think it’s one of the best Rengoku figures out there!
Bagpipe is one of my favorite operators. She was cool in the story and she’s useful as an operator. Anyways, this figure did her justice. It’s well sculpted and rather large. Her base is rather gigantic though, so if you’re low on large shelf space you may want to pass. If you’ve got the space though, she looks really close to her E2 art (minus the dragon). My only nitpick is that a little more shading would have been nice. It may be the only Bagpipe figure out there, but it’s really solid!
As I mentioned in my Ninny review, we don’t have many options for Burn the Witch figures. So I am so happy that Noel came out amazing! The sculpt and paint apps are amazing excellent. The effect parts look great. Noel’s kinda deadpan expression is captured amazingly. It’s gorgeous and worth a pick up if you enjoyed the one shot of Burn the Witch!
Being a one shot comic, there are understandably very few figures from Burn the Witch. However, this one really nailed it! The sculpt looks amazing, very similar to the source material. The colors are also excellent. The effect parts are also done well, and I appreciate how they get integrated with the base. I’m quite happy with this being the only scale figure in their uniforms since it was so well done!
All Might, as the name implies, is a mighty figure. He is massive and heavy! Great sculpt, the best likeness of any figure on the market in my opinion. S-Fire nails the great paint apps again. The effect parts also help bring this guy to life. If you love All Might, this is a great addition to your collection!
Great looking figure. The purple is a wonderful color, looks even better in person and really makes her pop. It’s interesting how they went with her shyer side rather than her usual confident personality, but it works. If you like short haired Nino, this is a great pick up!
Yotsuba looks fantastic. Estream nailed her expression and pose that really highly her bubbly and energetic personality. The green is a light shade, but I actually like that it isn’t as dark a green as her iconic ribbon. Like the others in the set, the base links up to the others in the set. She a great pick up!
Although a bit pricy, this Itsuki is gorgeous. The red dress has beautiful frills and sparkles. The sculpt has a very strong likeness to her character. The base is also great and I appreciate how it links up with the others in the set.
Bellfine did a great job with this manly Ice Mage. He’s got a great sculpt and nice paint apps. His hands are slightly tinged with blue to mimic his ice magic. The base is also “cool.” The ice shards are awesome to show off his magic. Having the head swap option is also spiffy. Definitely the best Gray Fullbuster scale out there in my opinion.
I’m a big Gamera fan, so naturally I picked up the original Gamera 3 when it was released. That was my least favorite of the Hesei Gamera Monsterarts, mostly due to the face. This new version fixes some of the face issues. The fins look better and most notably the teeth are much improved. Aside from that, there are subtle differences such as the paint. This version has a darker green shell than the original, more noticeable in the chest shell. The other new addition is the limb with the hand sliced off, which looks great. This should have been the original release, it’s a keeper especially if you hesitated on the first version.
So I’m torn on this one. The top half from the waist up has an amazing sculpt and on point paint apps. The face is very well done, as is the scarlet hair and muscle sculpts. The base is also very awesome, the fire looks great. Now, the issue for me is the bottom half. Without the Hakama, Erza’s legs are very…orange. I get that it’s supposed to be a fiery glow, but it just comes off as comical neon sign orange honestly. The Hakama helps and wasn’t too bad to button on. The sculpt is nice, but the colors don’t pop as much as I’d like them to. Overall, I like this Erza, but the colors on the bottom half are kinda off. However, it can be r...Read more
Great figure from the craft essence art. Probably my favorite plain clothes Mash to date. The sculpt is great and the colors are nice. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a Mash without her Demi-servant armor.
Kakashi is a great nendoroid. He comes with many accessories that take you down memory lane. The bells are in unexpected nice touch. The chidori is a great looking effect part and he’s got options for posing to match. The double forehead protectors are cool. The big crème de la crème are the books! Highly recommend this one!
While not as loaded with accessories as Naruto, Sasuke is still a pretty neat Nendoroid. He comes with iconic effect parts with chidori and Susanowo, but to be honest his chidori effect part is underwhelming compared to the one with Kakashi. The face plates are great though and the Susanowo effect with the acrylic stand is neat.
Cute Sakura figure, but a bit lacking compared to the rest of team 7. I guess she’s got options for arms and legs, but it would have been cool to have effect parts for healing or punching. I still recommend her if you’re looking to complete the set.
Let’s face it, some nendoroids have been pricy with little to show for it. The Naruto line has been a wonderful exception! He can do various iconic poses from the series and comes with his iconic jutus (Rasengan and Rasenshuriken). The face plates are also great with the acrylic Kurama as icing on the cake. Definitely recommend!
Takina Inoue reporting for duty! The more straight laced of the Lycoris Recoil duo is adorable! The sculpt and paint apps are on point. Best part is that she can do the fish pose. Highly recommend if you’re a fan of the series!
Shoto Todoroki makes his debut on the S-Fire 1/8 line. He’s got a dynamic action pose that emphasizes both his fire and ice powers. The effect parts are nicely done, albeit a bit different than Bakugo and Midoriya. Shoot’s effect parts appear to have a clear parts base with some painted highlights, but are pretty close in style to Midoriya. I love the attention to detail that S-fire put in. There are glow effects painted onto his thigh for ice and his backpack and hair for the fire. Awesome addition to the shelf, I look forward to other MHA releases from S-Fire!
Yotsuba completes the set for me. I like the pose and expression of the renewal version more than the previous one. Great details and paint apps for those on a budget or just looking for smaller sized figures to display!
Love the color shading on this one, also has a great sculpt. The right arm looks a tad awkward, but is forgivable. Nice to have Goku in KaioKen form while sporting his gi, definitely not as hefty as the shirtless muscled Earth KaioKen version.
Captain Ginyu joins the DBZ Masterlise line up! Overall he looks great, but…he has the most boring pose of the entire Ginyu force. Everyone has at least some minor pose to make them more interesting, but Ginyu kinda has his arms dangle off the the sides unnaturally. Oh well, he still looks great with all the rest. Still rooting for goofy poses in the future!
The heftiest boy of the Ginyu force joins the DBZ Masterlise line. He looks cool overall, although his wrists look uncomfortable! Nice to have the entire Ginyu force! Goofy poses in the future please Bandai?
Burter joins the DBZ Masterlise line! While not as heavy as Recoome, he is definitely the tallest. He’s got a cool and confident pose giving him nice shelf presence. Maybe someday they’ll have the Ginyu force with the goofy group pose!
Jeice makes his debut to the DBZ Masterlise line. Like Guldo they went with a more serious pose. He looks great and reminds me of a Sailor Moon villain. Maybe they’ll make a set with the iconic goofy poses someday!
Guldo is a cool addition to the DBZ Masterlise line. The smallest of the Ginyu force has a nice sculpt. I appreciate the menacing look rather than the goofy pose, makes them more in line with the rest of the Freiza saga figures. In the future, I’d love to see a Ginyu force set with all goofy poses.
So awesome to see the Freiza Saga getting the Masterlise treatment. This Freiza looks great, and the fact that he was designed with the hover chair is amazing. Loooks great with Chonky boy Dodoria and Sailor Moon villain Zarbon. Highly recommend!
Behold, the chonkiest Masterlise Dragonball figure to date. Man, I thought Nappa was an absolute unit and he is, but Dodoria says here hold my scouter and is quite hefty. He’s a big boy with a great sculpt and paint apps. And yeah, have I mentioned he is quite heavy? Very cool addition to the Freiza Saga!
Although I don’t play Onmyoji Arena much anymore…this is still a spectacular piece. The box is also very cool, it has a unique fold out feature. Shiranui is wonderfully sculpted and the paint apps are great. The fans have so much presence, very eye catching figure. Very happy with her and she looks great on the shelf.
Another hit for Taito. Nice sized prize figure with a lovely sculpt and expression. This is Miku’s second version and I prefer this this one over the first version. The behind the back pose is cute. If you’re in the budget for a non-scale quint I recommend this.
Taito made 2 series of their school attire quints and this is the biggest change since it’s the season 2 short haired Nino. Again, nice sculpt and expression, definite recommend.
Taito makes some of the best prize figures around. If you’re looking for great value for your buck, here it is. Itsuki is nicely represented in her season 2 outfit with a nice quirky expression. The sweater and skirt have nice details for a prize figure. The size is also nice for the price point, she stands taller than Pop Up Parades. The overall sculpt is lovely, my only nitpick is more color shading would be welcome, but it is a prize figure though. Again, one of the better non-scale quints you could get, definitely recommend!
S-Fire makes their scale figure debut with this Midoriya and they did not disappoint. He’s got a great sculpt with an iconic and dynamic pose. I really love the painted effect parts, I think they look better than clear plastic effect parts. My only nitpicks are the price for a 1/8 scale is a tad high and the peg that holds up the figure is not the most aestheically pleasing choice. Overall, I think he is the best sculpt and paint job out there as far as Midoriya scales go.
Like with Midoriya, I was a bit hesitant to pick this up at first since this was pretty much S-Fire’s debut as far as scales go. But, the prototype looked excellent so I went ahead and pre-ordered. No regrets. This figure has a great sculpt that captures Bakugo’s personality well. I think what makes this stand out from other figure makers in general is the effect parts being painted rather than clear plastic. The explosion effects are very well shaded and faded and creates a way cooler effect than simple clear parts. My only nitpicks is that it’s on the pricier end for its size. Other than that, I really love this and he goes great with the Midoriya I got and I ca...Read more
This scale figure of Sakura is the best. It’s large, dynamic, and eye catching. The base is a great way to showcase her skills and show that’s she’s not the useless little girl she used to be. The effect parts just accentuate Sakura and makes is unique from all the other scales that are simply cutesy poses. Sakura has a great sculpt and is just flowing with action. The paint job is also excellent. I look forward to more Megahouse releases in this line!
Need a figure of your favorite kouhai? Look no further, this is the best there is. She’s got savy shelf presence with its massive shield. The sculpt and paint apps are excellent and you have display options with her. Really recommend her for any fan of Mash Kyrielight!
Scathach looks great, she’s got a rocking sculpt and great paint apps. Nice combination of sexy and cool. Love the third ascension form and dual lances. I am a tad worried about possible leaning since she’s on one leg in the future, but as of now I haven’t had any issues. Highly recommend her!
I can’t think of any other Nendoroid to get an extra such as this besides face plates. The mecha for D.Va is quite cool and both the figure and box were much larger than I imagined. D.va fits inside nicely, but only the original, the school version doesn’t fit, but that’s fine. It can’t pull off any majorly dynamic poses, but it looks great and is the largest version of the mecha besides the blizzard statue and third party statues. Love having this mecha, really stands out in a nendoroid collection!
Future Trunks has arrived! My favorite character of the series finally has a Masterlise figure. Overall, he looks great and has wonderful color apps. However, even though I love my boy Trunks, his face is a bit odd from certain angles. Overall though, he’s a solid figure and a nice addition to the Android Saga collection of Masterlise figures.
A wonderful figure of Komi. A nendoroid works weel for her since she has so many iconic expressions in the show, which this little figure can pull off nicely. She’s got her cool beauty look, excited expression (with cat ears!), and her embarrassed glance. The accessories also work very well to recreate many memorable show moments. Highly recommend this one!
Alter didn’t disappoint, this Berseker Miyamoto Musashi is amazing! One of the rare occurrences for me where the 3rd ascension of a FGO servant isn’t my favorite design. This ascension 2 Musashi has a dynamic well sculpted pose and great paint apps! The base is a bit plain, but let’s be honest it all about the servant figure and Alter really captured her energetic fighting spirit. A must have figure for any Miyamoto Musashi Berseker fans!
Merlin is a great character and heroic spirit! If you can’t get him in FGO then you can at least pick up the physical version! He’s a solid release, but due to his costume, he has some limited possibility compared to other FGO figmas. Also the legs in particular have rather noticeable joints. However, if you’re like me and need your caster to complete your FGO team he’s a nice pick up!
Great chibi Demon Slayer figures! They don’t take up too much space, at least not individually! Megahouse did a wonderful job with the sculpt and paint apps. You can also pick up some of those diorama backgrounds like the kind in the photos to have them in a nice little diorama. I really love the poses and expressions on these since it really captures the spirit of the characters! Naturally this set goes wonderfully with the Tanjiro’s friends set. Great addition to any Demon Slayer collection since you can place them in all sorts of places due to their size.
Miroku is a great addition to the Inuyasha nendoroid line. While not quite on the level of Sango, he is a great release with lots of playability. He’s got a lot of classic expression faceplates, although it would have been great to get a faceplate with the slap mark on his face to recreate that classic trope between him and Sango. Definitely best when displayed alongside his beloved Sango for both action and cute displays. Highly recommend this figure!
A new demon slayer figure! But not Kimetsu no Yaiba, haha. Sango finally gets a figure after years! Although I’d love to have a new scale of hers, this nendoroid is amazing for the time being. Miroku is a great nendoroid, but Sango is probably the better release of the two. She has all her classic expressions and pairs great with Miroku for cute and battle displays. She even comes with her gas mask, which is a nice touch! Definitely had a lot of accessories, including her partner Kirara. Definitely has a lot of options in regards to displays. In my opinion she’s the best Inuyasha nendoroid release so far!
As the title says, I love the sculpt of the top half of this figure. Great expression, details, and paint apps. Where this figure falls a bit short is the bottom. The torso area in particular looks so flat compared to the top part of the Gi. It’s a bit distracting, but overall it’s a great looking figure.
Another great Masterlise release. I like this version of Goku since his skin isn’t as reddish as a previous release (the one where he’s grabbing his wrist weights). I have no real complaints with this one!
A Masterlise of Piccolo is a great thing! He’s got a great sculpt and paint apps. An awesome representation of our favorite Namekian from the Super Hero movie. Because he’s hunched over he does seem short compared to Goku and Vegeta, but that’s fine. I just hope that someday we get a version of Piccolo with the turban and mantle from Masterlise!
This figure was a lot larger than I expected, but I suppose that’s a good thing since it has shelf presence. Although I generally prefer her standard armor, I do love this tech version of it. Ques Q did a great job with the sculpt and colors. I wish the hair was a bit more opaque, but other than that I love this figure.
I love this Oiran version of Aqua. The colors are amazing and the sculpt has a lovely flowing quality to it. I think it captures her happy go lucky personality nicely. Of the 3 Oiran Konosuba gals, this is definitely the best in terms of sculpt and capturing the spirit of the character!
As far as Dragonball figures go, Masterlise is one of the best lines imo. I love that this King Piccolo is massive at over 9” tall. He’s got vibrant colors and great details. My only nitpick is that he’s missing the pink flesh on his forearms. Even though it’s odd that it’s missing, I can forgive it since it’s and overall great figure and looks great with the rest of the Mythical Adventure set!
Divine Realm of the Round Table Wandering Agateram was a pretty fun watch. While the animation is not quite the level of UFOtable, it’s pretty solid. If you’re a fan of the FGO mobile game, it’s nice to see this Singularity animated since I really like the knights of the round table.
Definitely worth a watch! It also includes a spiffy mini art book if you like collecting those as well!
Neat set of Tanjiro’s friends by Megahouse. I still need to decide where to put them, but their size (roughly 2 inches tall) makes the choice flexible! They’re nicely sculpted with great paint apps. I can’t wait until the two Hashira sets I ordered arrived so I can display them all together!
