My name is Aiko and I am from México. I like fashion, food, and of course, anime! Want to know a random fact? I am the only tattooed employee at TOM!
I grew up watching Dragon Ball, Pokémon and Sailor Moon, but the series that really got me into anime was Evangelion. I saw the Evangelion DVD Set at some local shop and my dad got it for me as a present. We didn’t know what to expect, ended up watching the whole season in one night, and completely lost it.
I started collecting figures ever since then. I actually got a few from TOM before I started working here! Unfortunately, though, I can’t keep too many figures here in Tokyo since the apartments are really small sobs. But I bet you guys have more space than I do, so let me recommend a few of my favorites pieces to you! I was a TOM customer before I was a TOM staff, so believe me when I say that TOM’s packaging and shipping are top notch. If you are a figure collector, you’ll know the importance of getting your product in the perfect condition.

I love this new black plugsuit! If you have the time and dedication, I totally recommend trying a garage kit. Assembling and painting a figure is so much fun! Just be patient, and you’ll have the time of your life!

I am super picky when it comes to Hatsune Miku figures. They are SO many out there that I am very particular about collecting only the best of them, so trust me when I say that you need this one in your collection. The first time I saw it was at Wonder Festival 2013 as a prototype, and she was gorgeous. If you did not get her when she was first release, you can’t miss this re-run!

Ok, let me share something personal… I first started talking to the person who is now my husband thanks to a Sonico figure. He owned a Sonico figure that I had really wanted but was sold out already, so I was really curious as to where he got it. Now we are married and, yes, I made sure to add that Sonico figure to the premarital agreement (hahaha). Anything Sonico is a must have. ;)

Did I mention I also like fashion? Especially shoes! These platforms are hard to find anywhere else, but TOM carries some of the most popular J-fashion brands and has tons of differents styles, so make sure to browse through the J-fashion section if you’re a fan too!

As much as I enjoy eating out, there’s nothing like snuggling up at home, away from Tokyo’s busy streets, preparing some delicious food of my own. When I moved to Japan, I immediately fell in love with all the tools they have to make cute food! I was really surprised to see all the tools and sets that make it super easy to create funny and adorable dishes. You don’t have to be a pro at cooking to give this a try! You’ll have cute onigiris in less than 10 minutes! (°◡°♡).:｡
