My name is usaco, short for usagi computing.
I make slackers at TOM work. I look like a South Park character and weigh at about 130 kg. I adore Twilight Sparkle, because her voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro sounds like a Japanese Tara Strong.
Everything up to this point was a lie.
The true reason why I like Twilight Sparkle is because she is the most mentally repressed character in the series (Sunset Shimmer is a goddess).
Today I’d like to introduce the Marvel Bishoujo line; a series of figures that are based on depictions of Marvel characters drawn by Japanese artists
(Don’t you think Gurihiru’s Gwenpool is cute?)

Product Name: Marvel Squirrel Girl Bishoujo Statue
Manufacturer: Kotobukiya
Sculptor: ke (CommacCow)
Specifications: Painted, non-articulated, 1/7 scale PVC (phthalate-free) & ABS figure
Height (approx.): 138 mm | 5.4"
Order Limit: 3 per person
Fans of the crafty Squirrel Girl (a.k.a. Doreen Green) won’t want to pass up this premium figure by Kotobukiya! Part of the Bishoujo Statue line, this superheroine from Marvel was sculpted by Ke and measures in at 5.4” at 1/7th scale.
Looking positively lovely, Squirrel Girl kneels on the ground with a compassionate expression while she dotes on her pet squirrel Tippy-Toe. Dressed in an outfit overflowing with soothing Earth-toned colors, her gigantic furry tail rests curled behind her. Underneath Squirrel Girl rests a circular base covered with images of leaves, giving the very animalistic and one-with-nature vibe that captures her personality perfectly!
Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo series are the only few products on TOM that feature non Japanese characters drawn by Japanese artists.
Them and Akira Himekawa’s MLP comics.
Squirrel Girl is known for being drawn in very different ways, but I believe that Shunya Yamashita’s designs are the perfect answer to “optimized kawaii”. Even in this form, she beats villains with one blow. You think you’re One Punch Man? Go and get an apprentice!
I’ll silently wait for a world where the internet is full of your Yuri fanfic.

Product Name: Kill Bill The Bride Bishoujo Statue
Series: Kill Bill
Manufacturer: Kotobukiya
Specifications: Painted, non-articulated, 1/7 scale PVC (phthalate-free) & ABS figure with base
Height (approx.): 195 mm | 7.7"
Order Limit: 3 per person
“The Bride” (Beatrix Kiddo/Black Mamba) of Kill Bill has been re-imaged by illustrator Shunya Yamashita and made into 1/7 scale figure form thanks to Kotobukiya! She stands 7.7” on a Kill Bill base and wears her familiar yellow suit with blacks stripes and matching sneakers while wielding her specially forged katana.
While there is movement in her pose and the rustle of her hair, a calmness can be seen in her expression or rather a zen-like focus on fulfilling her quest for revenge. You might recall her pose as the same one done a moment before the fight with the Crazy 88’s when she looked into the reflection of her katana.
As expected from Kotobukiya, no detail has been overlooked, from the folds in her suit to the teeth of its zipper and the laces on her shoes. There is no danger in keeping this assassin in your collection other than how easily distracted you’ll get from seeing her every day!
Bride-san.
This innocent girl was buried alive, which makes me feel more and more complicated as I’m writing this very sentence. I’d like a taste of the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique from this version of her, with exploding organs and all. In fact, I’d love it.
If this Tarantino figure series becomes a thing, I’m pretty sure that VIncent and Jules are up next. I’m counting on you, Kotobukiya. Oh, the guy from the pawn shop scene or Marsellus Wallace would be great too.

Product Name: Street Fighter Bishoujo Rainbow Mika Statue
Series: Street Fighter
Manufacturer: Kotobukiya
Sculptor: Masahiro Takahashi (GILL GILL)
Specifications: Painted, non-articulated, 1/7 scale PVC (non-phthalate) & ABS figure
Height (approx.): 210 mm | 8.3"
Order Limit: 3 per person
Kotobukiya presents the superstar of the ring from Street Fighter! Standing 8.3” tall, Rainbow Mika not only has the beautiful, strong but balanced body of a wrestler sculpted by Masahiro Takahashi, she also seems to have a talent for singing~
“WTF!!!! She isn’t even a character from American comics!!!”, you may say.
Please don’t.
After a glance at her curvaceous body and “showy” aspects that wrestlers have, I can’t stop but imagine what the world will become when WWE wrestlers become Bishoujos and Ikemen… We must marvel at the beauty of Rainbow Mika and enjoy wrestling, until the day when something like “BISHOUJO HHH” becomes a thing...

“Cute” would be the last word used to describe your typical horror film, but the Horror Bishoujo line from Kotobukiya is seeking to change that, capturing the scariest characters from the biggest horror classics as beautiful girls!
Featured here is Chucky from the 1988 horror classic Child’s Play and the series of the same name. Chucky’s remembered as a terrifying and murderous “Good Guy” doll. Its design is instantly recognizable through its red hair, freckled face, rainbow-colored shirt, and jean overalls with the trademark name “Good Guys” on the front, and those features have been faithfully captured for this beautiful character.
Her sweet smile, flattering pose, and playful wink will draw you in, tricking you into thinking that she’s no threat, but that knife she’s hiding behind her back (a favorite weapon of Chucky) hints at her true nature.

What?!
The main characters from Child Play have become Yuri couple!!!!
There’s a genre of fanfiction in Japan called “Yaoi”, where certain male characters are depicted as lovers. But these figures go further; males are turned into females, and are now a happy little couple. The license holders even allowed to make this happen… I need to know what’s going on in Kotobukiya’s planning division.
I am utterly moved at this overflow of passion and somewhat scary decisions they have made. I will support Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo line, and I’d like you to do so too. “Otaku ecstasy” awaits us at the end of this journey.
