To explore the charm of the Pretty Guardians Limited Moon Stick Pendant featuring design from the original manga, we interviewed Ms. Kuroda from Bandai who helped us on this project!
How the Original Artwork Design Moon Stick Pendant project began:
Part of the Sailor Moon fan club’s appeal is the selection of items based on original artwork that it offers. Because of this, we decided to create something that’s based on the motif of the manga. The Moon Stick depicted in the original manga has a shiny, crystalline look and its own unique elegance compared to its anime version. We thought this motif would be perfect for more mature fans of the series, so we began designing a pendant that can be worn every day.
What we really focused on:
The “exclusivity” of this item that’s only available to fan club members and the alluring “transparency” from the original manga are the two points where we focused on. I have worked on countless Sailor Moon accessory projects, and I decided to use resin treatment for the first time in this project to recreate the transparent moon portion of the stick. The stick part is sprinkled lightly with fancy glitter and is made to have a pink hue that isn’t too light or too dark We blended various colors to find a perfect balance that matches the soft hue of the original artwork.
Why we recommend it:
The pendant features golden components that give off a luxurious image, and its compact size allows it to stand out without being too dominant. Even the smallest details - like the subtle star shaped pieces used in the chain - are filled with cuteness! It’s an absolute must-have that can be used as an everyday accessory, or as an accent piece that adds the right amount of shine to your chest in more formal outfits.
A message to fan club members
I think that accessories make you straighten your back a little more and also boost your confidence. We hope that this pendant - that’s filled with various elements from the world of Sailor Moon - will become a good luck charm that can help you overcome everyday troubles!
