The Temple Search and Moai Conference phases are done six times each.
After the sixth Temple Search and Moai Conference is complete, Emergency Time can be done up to 3 times to look back over the map to retry any missed sections.
The Last Moai Conference is then held to complete the map.
Finally, the Rescue the Raparapas phase is performed.

During Temple Search, one player wears the Mask of Moai and communicates the layout of the temple to the other players using words and gestures without taking the mask off. Based on the information given, other players use the map pieces to try and recreate the layout of the temple.
During Moai Conferences, players discuss whether the map created has any mistakes. There is no time limit to Moai Conferences. Players are free to openly discuss the map until all other players are in agreement.
After the sixth round of Temple Search and Moai Conferences, players can use Emergency Time to look back over the map and make changes. After this, the Last Moai Conference is held and the map is completed by joining the separate sections together.
After the map is complete, remove the smartphone from the mask to reveal the solution. Players then move the Raparapa as indicated in the app. If all the Raparapa end up in the same location they are successfully rescued and the game is won.

The second VR board game following Mask of Anubis, Mask of Moai features new game elements on top of an even more immersive temple exploration experience.
The sunken temple is constructed of both sections above water and sections completely submerged. You can change between the above water and submerged sections by jumping. Communicate to fellow players the layout of both sections to correctly complete the map.
Each of the three Raparapa has a different form. It’s up to the player who finds a Raparapa to memorize its appearance and recreate it in clay. Match its form exactly and you’ll be one step closer to rescuing it.
Whereas the Mask of Anubis game uses square temple pieces, Mask of Moai uses hexagonal pieces, and the temple itself is larger in scale with a two-floor construction. With Mask of Moai, you can enjoy even more variety and replayability!
