VELOCITY

Velocity is a DJ and producer based in Tokyo who makes mostly drum & bass music. He established 7NiNE Productions in 2003 and the same year started organizing the monthly dnb party ZERO. He also created the sound effects for Motion Dive Tokyo. After proving his skills at the C.N.S (CDJ New Style) competition organized by Pioneer in 2008, he found supporters among the big names such as A-Sides, Makoto, Bailey, Commix, and Random Movement.

One of Velocity’s most notable tunes is “Velocity & Key MC – Ladder” which was released on the album Something We Can Do (HE:Digital) by Makoto and reached No. 1 in the electronic genre in the Japanese iTunes Store. His other works include “Light In Nightmare” (W10 Records), Concentration EP, and Night Owl EP, some of which—and also some podcasts—you can also find on SoundCloud. He also works as an A&R in Makoto’s label, Human Elements (HE:Digital).
