100 Painters Exhibition
The 100 Painters Exhibition aka the Eshi 100 Exhibition is an annual event held in Akihabara (Akiba for short), Tokyo in which 100 of the top illustrators and artists working today exhibit some of their brand new pieces which pay tribute to Japan’s long and varied art history as well as its pop culture influence throughout the world. Artists who have participated to date have included top names like Ume Aoki, Noizi Ito, Itaru Hinoue, karory, KEI, yuki*mami, Tinkle, and many others.
Luckily, even if you can’t get to the exhibition itself you can still experience some of the beautiful works on offer thanks to a wide range of merchandise available which includes everything from posters, tapestries and wall scrolls to fans, keychains, and clear files.
