Detective Conan: Crimson Love Letter Breaks Records on its First Weekend!

Detective Conan: Crimson Love Letter* broke the record in the series’ history on its first weekend! Shown on 368 screens in 354 theaters throughout Japan, the new movie boasts an attendance of 987 thousand people and box office takings of over 1.2 billion yen in just two days, surpassing even the 20th movie, The Darkest Nightmare.

It also received a 96.1% satisfaction rating from viewers, and 93.8% of those who completed the questionnaire would recommend it to others, also higher compared to last year.

In addition, an interview with original creator Aoyama Gosho will air in News Zero on Nippon TV on Apr. 18. It will feature behind the scenes footage with Aoyama and touch on the newest episodes of the series among others, so be sure to check it out if you can!
