The second trailer for the upcoming theatrical anime adaptation of Nihei Tsutomu’s popular manga BLAME! was released via the official website on March 31.
Featuring the movie’s main theme, “Calling You” by angela, the trailer showcases the detailed background animation of the dystopian cityscape in which the cyberpunk-infused story takes place. Set in the far future in which humanity survives in “The City” - a vast technological world divided into various “floors”, BLAME! follows the adventures of Killy as he searches for the Net Terminal Genes which will allow him access to the Netsphere.
BLAME! will premiere in Japanese cinemas on May 20 and is expected to stream globally via Netflix on the same date. Ahead of the release, there will also be a special preview.
