■ Introduction
Kotarou Tennouji had been spending his days unexceptionally with his friends in the Occult Club researching strange events in Kazamatsuri. He then holds the fate of mankind’s existence in his hands after meeting Kagari, a “key.” Kotarou takes on destruction as he tries to save the world from meeting its demise again.
First published in 2011, the game Rewrite was instantly popular and was quickly adapted into an anime. Perfect for the anime project, Motoki Tanaka (Tenshou), who had worked on the opening animation for the game, was chosen to direct and work on series composition. Helping with composition and scriptwriting is Romeo Tanaka, who had been a scenario writer for the game, as well as Kai (VisualArt’s) who has worked on scenarios for the popular game Clannad. Masayuki Nonaka, who has been the main animator behind the anime adaptation of Grisaia no Kajitsu alongside Tenshou, will be working on character design, and 8-Bit will be doing the animation.
