If charming maids and yummy food isn’t enough to encourage a visit to Akihabara’s popular maid cafe @Home Cafe, perhaps you’ll be swayed by their newest collaboration event with Sanrio! Starting Jan. 14, @Home Cafe will be temporarily transformed into a haven for fans of the lazy egg Gudatama! Along with an altered interior and decorations to match the theme, the cafe will also be offering an original Gudetama menu and the chance to buy fun goods only available during this event!
@Home Cafe is no stranger to collaborations with Sanrio - just last year in summer 2015, they ran a similar cafe event starring the globally-recognized Hello Kitty. The event was a hit (as you can imagine), so @Home Cafe hopes Gudetama receives the same treatment, with hopes of increasing their female and foreign tourist visitors.
For anyone who has the chance, stop by and enjoy a charming atmosphere and yummy food with the adorably lazy Gudetama (who might not necessarily be taking his job as seriously as he should)!
