March Comes in Like a Lion is a popular manga from the pen of Chica Umino that follows a pro shogi player still in high school and his interactions with the people around him. The restaurant was a step up compared to the 2015 Japanese confectionery collaboration, offering a total of 18 items including meals and sundries inspired by food and characters from the series.

Forest Idyll with Momo
This cute metal box hiding colorful chocolate bonbons features Momo, the youngest of the Kawamoto sisters with a baby deer. “Momo’s Dreamy Sweets Box” (¥1,620 with tax) is the most popular item of the bunch.
Akari & Hinata’s Menu for the Summer Festival
Mimicking the taste of rice dumplings in syrup, the Sangatsu-cho Pudding Set includes a milk pudding with Japanese apricot syrup and a tapioca milk tea pudding. They come with cute charms, too!
A Fruitful Collaboration
A collaboration with Satomi Fujita by Kameya Yoshinaga, a brand founded by pastry chef and hope of the Japanese confectionery industry, Satomi Fujita, Dense Beads (¥1,566 with tax) are a mixture of Japanese and Western pastries. They come in a total of three versions including Dense Beads, based on the brown sugar syrup & roasted soybean flour flavor invented by grandpa Kawamoto, and White Style, based on the meijin Touji Souya.
Yummy Bentos Based on Akari’s Menu
Akari is very good at cooking, and now you can enjoy it too with these two bento menus! You can choose between the “Celebration Bento with Hinata’s Favorites” (¥780 with tax) she made to celebrate Hinata’s successful high school entrance exam and “Big Sister’s Oinari-san” (¥810 with tax), both substantial, fulfilling meals.
■ Sundries
Besides all the yummy food, the shop also offered cute charms and the “Nya’s Towel Bathing Set” (¥2,700 with tax), which contains a cute towel and four mini bottles of body and hair care products.
