Bandai has released Osomatsu-san Iyami Cart Pens (six versions, 1,512 yen each; tax included, shipping and handling separate) on Premium Bandai based on the carts used by the Osomatsu-san siblings in Iyami’s cart race! There will also be a limited edition set available (appropriately only 2,010 of these will be sold!) which also comes with a diorama-like stand for display, the “Limited Edition Osomatsu-san Sextuplet Iyami Cart Pen Set” (9,072 yen; tax included, shipping and handling separate). These went on sale on Sept. 21 and will only be available on Premium Bandai.
■ About the Carts
These six Iyami Cart Pens are based on episode 18 of Osomatsu-san and the carts the Matsuno siblings drove in that episode alongside Iyami.
The lineup includes six versions: Osomatsu’s red 4-wheel OsoCart, Karamatsu’s bathtub-like Karamatsu AGOGO, Choromatsu’s cart featuring Totoko called the Choromatsu Shikosukii, Ichimatsu’s kotatsu-style Dotera Neko, Jyushimatsu’s baseball-shaped The Bullpen, and Todomatsu’s heart-shaped Totty Wagon.
The carts (the mascot part) can be removed from the ballpoint pen, giving you a chance to play and race with them. They’re faithfully restored in all of their ridiculous glory.
Inspired by their NEET (“not in education, employment, or training”) lifestyles, 2,010 limited edition sets (2 being ni in Japanese, and to being a reading of 10) of the Iyami Cart Pens will also be available. With this, fans will receive all six pens, as well as a diorama-like stand, and you can only find this on Premium Bandai. The stand actually looks like the racing scene, and you can play with it!
