Jakarta’s Aeon Mall will be hosting the marathon event Hello Kitty Run: Indonesia 2016 on Nov. 6! Company Tokyo Gets Co., Ltd. and their Indonesian branch PT.TG Rights Studio Jakarta are handling the design and coordination of the event, which will be taking place at BSD City.
There’ll be an estimated 5,000 participants for this event, which has a motto and theme that states, “Happy Lucky Together.” The main visual includes Hello Kitty running with a four-leaf clover, giving the impression of good fortunes for those who come.
Those who finish the 5-kilometer course will get a special medal not found anywhere else - they might even see Hello Kitty herself running alongside them!
Aside from the marathon portion, there will also be other activities such as a photo corner and Hello Kitty booth, which anyone from kids to adults can find enjoyable.
The official entry fee costs from IDR 250,000 to IDR 320,000, which is equivalent to 1,900 to 2,500 yen. Those who register and pay the fee will receive original Hello Kitty goods like a T-shirt, bag, and athletic bib that also can’t be found anywhere else.
