In Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the main characters are often unkindly referred to as "space rats." But in the spinoff series San-Chome no Orphan-chu, "space rats" takes on a whole new meaning as Mikazuki Augus and friends have actually been transformed into rats! In Japanese, chu is the noise that rats make, making the name of this spinoff series a fun play on words. Thanks to Bandai, you can add these rodent versions of the Iron-Blooded Orphans characters to your figure collection with the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans San-Chome no Orphan-chu Kasei no O-Uchi Set" (¥4,968 including tax and shipping, handling extra)! Kasei no O-Uchi means "Martian Home," and it's easy to imagine this welcoming little family waiting for you in a home on Mars just like in the series. Pre-sales started on Bandai’s official shopping site Premium Bandai at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.

These chibi figures are of the main character of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans animes series (the second season of which is set to air in October), Mikazuki Augus, and friends as they appear in the spinoff series. This spinoff series is a little unusual, because the so-called "space rats" have actually been transformed into rats!
This figure set includes the five members of the Tekkadan private security company—Mikazuki, Orga, Biscuit, Akihiro, and Atra—and each adorable figure is 5 centimetres tall. These charming figures capture the traits of every character expertly, with Mikazuki’s and Orga's impressive hairstyles and Biscuit's plump figure all recreated to perfection.
This special set also has a few unique features that are different to the regular set. Mikazuki is holding a rosy-red apple instead of a Mars palm, and Orga's spoon is gold-coloured instead of brass-coloured. This set also comes with a deluxe recipe sheet featuring recipes for the delicious meals that Atra serves in the series to keep the tummies of the Tekkadan members full.
In the series, one of the enemies of the Tekkadan members is the military faction Gjallarhorn. So naturally, in the spinoff series, Gjallarhorn members have been transformed into cats! Display the Tekkadan cuties next to the cat figures of Gjallarhorn members McGillis and Gaelio (set to be released in late January 2017) to create all kinds of crazy situations!
