Sogo, Seibu, and Sanrio are set to team up for an exhibition of original artwork from the TV anime adaptation of Show By Rock!! which will be held at the Ikebukuro branch of Seibu from Sept. 27, 2016.
Show By Rock!! started out as a smartphone game released by Sanrio in 2013. The first season of the TV anime adaptation was broadcast in April 2015 with season two set to premiere Oct. 2, 2016 on Tokyo MX TV. To mark the happy occasion, some of the original artwork from the series will be going on show for the first time ever.
An Exhibition Every Fan Needs to See
The exhibition will include over 200 items taken from the first season, the short anime which began broadcasts in July 2016, and even a selection of all new pieces created specially for the event. Amongst the plentiful items on display which will include some of the guitars used in the show, fans will also have the opportunity to take a photo alongside the bands which appear in the series, Plasmagica and Shingan Crimsonz. There will also be a special presentation of footage from the second series of the anime and video comments from some of the voice actors screened in the venue.

There will be 300 items on sale including 100 limited editions exclusive to the event that are sure to get fans chomping at the bit - from limited edition reproduction artwork to 64-page pamphlets, thermos flasks, and original sweets.
Each day 1,000 visitors will also receive a limited edition souvenir ticket featuring an all new illustration, and 1,000 people who spend more than 2,000 yen (including taxes) will receive a limited edition postcard the design of which will change every day.
