Toy and model seller Volks, which also handles manufacturing and retailing, is collaborating with robot developer Speecys to create a new kind of doll in their Dollfie® Honey collection, and now they’re set to turn their attention to popular Vocaloid Hatsune Miku. The doll is expected to be on show at Hatsune Miku’s upcoming concert, Magical Mirai 2016, at Makuhari Messe on Sept. 9, 10 and 11.

The Dollfie® Honey is 60 centimeters in height and has 28 points of articulation and pleasantly soft skin. As it’s also compatible with the Dollfie Dream® clothes and interchangeable heads, the Dollfie® Honey is also very easy to customise to your liking.
Like other Speecys models, the doll also supports the ability to create movement in MikuMikuDance with the Linux-based Raspberry Pi3 CPU.
Now the Dollfie® Honey range is about to gain a new member in the form of Hatsune Miku. The coming together of the beautiful silhouettes and unbelievable articulation of the Dollfie® Honey and the cuteness of Hatsune Miku is a recipe for total harmony. She is also well loved as a character, and merchandise for the virtual singer as well as live shows have become popular as Hatsune Miku’s worldwide fanbase continues to grow.

Magical Mirai 2016 is an event where fans can experience the no-limit futuristic production culture of the Hatsune Miku phenomenon. This is the fourth year that the live show and exhibition event have been held. Over 22,000 people attended last year’s concert at the Nippon Budokan and accompanying exhibition at the science museum, but this year the event is making a move to Japan’s largest convention space, Makuhari Messe.
