One of the biggest otaku-related events, the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2016 (or Kyomaf 2016 for short) is around the corner, but that’s not the only thing 2016 has left for us as it’s also the 20th anniversary of one of the longest-running anime series, Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed)! As such, it is not surprising that the executive office of the Detective Conan Concert 2016 decided to bring back the special orchestra that captured fans’ hearts in Osaka and Tokyo this spring.
”Detective Conan TV & Movie 20th Anniversary Concert 2016 in Kyomaf” celebrates this huge milestone by bringing back classic songs in a special orchestra performance.
It won’t be just songs though: Viewers will be able to trace 20 years of the show’s history by reliving the most moving scenes as Minami Takayama, the voice of Conan Edogawa, will be joining in on the performance! This will be one stage show you can only see at Kyomaf, so be sure not to miss it if you’re in the area!
■ The voice cast as an orchestra?!
When you hear the word orchestra, you probably think about music, but this time, you can also expect the appearance of many familiar characters from the series and movies! There will be all kinds of touching scenes as well as all your beloved theme songs and background music from both the TV series and the films in a captivating live performance, and there are some surprises planned, too!

■ About Detective Conan
