Bandai’s official online store Premium Bandai is launching an accessory set for its Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt plastic model kit “MG 1/100 Full Armor Gundam Ver. Ka (Gundam Thunderbolt Edition)” (sold separately) which will include the Beam Rifle, Hyper Bazooka, and an Armor Hangar. The “MG 1/100 Weapon & Armor Hangar for Full Armor Gundam Ver. Ka (Gundam Thunderbolt Edition)” is available for preorder from 1 p.m. on Aug. 10.
MG Ver. Ka (Master Grade Katoki Hajime Version) is series of Gunpla model kits designed by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki produced since 2000.

The set includes a Beam Rifle, Hyper Bazooka, and Armor Hangar designed for use with the “MG 1/100 Scale Full Armor Gundam Ver. Ka (Gundam Thunderbolt Edition)” figure which was released in hobby shops across Japan on July 23.
The original author and designer behind the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt manga, Yasuo Ohtagaki, and the creator of the MG Ver. Ka concept, Hajime Katoki, have both worked on the two weapons included in the set. The set also includes an Armor Hangar so you can display your amor separately and have even more fun with your Full Armor Gundam Ver. Ka.
This is the first time Ohtagaki’s Beam Rifle has been available in kit form and has been supervised by Katoki himself. The Hyper Bazooka is also based on a new illustration by Ohtagaki, and Katoki has again handled the adaptation for use with Gunpla model kits. The set also makes use of the Gunpla original docking gimmick so you can attach two pieces together for a double Beam Rifle or double Hyper Bazooka placed in each of the model’s hands.
The Armor Hangar is a display stand based on the image of the Full Armor Gundam before a battle as seen in the manga and can also store the weapons that accompany the original model (sold separately). With its mechanical design, the hangar has the feel of something you’d find inside a battleship.

About the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Anime
The series is set in U.C. 0079 towards the end of the One Year War between Earth Federation and Principality of Zeon. All four episodes are available to stream for a fee, but each has also been expanded and made available on a director’s cut DVD & Blu-ray which was released on July 29, 2016. The original manga by Yasuo Ohtagaki is also currently running in Big Comic Superior.
