Organized by T-JOY Co., Ltd. with sponsors including the Japan National Tourism Organization, Yokoso! Eigakan! is a movie screening project dedicated to giving tourists and foreign residents of Japan a chance to enjoy movies in Japan by offering subtitles in foreign languages including English and Chinese, as well as a ton of limited edition goods for sale or fun food menus at selected theaters.
They’ve screened three films so far including Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', but their latest and 4th screening may just end up being their most visited yet: One Piece Film: Gold! One Piece has been hugely popular all over the world, so it’s no surprise that this film was chosen.
This is the 13th One Piece movie and just opened in Japan on July 23. In it, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates meet Gild Tesoro, the so-called “golden emperor” of Gran Tesoro, an independent country untouched by the World Government because of its wealth. Watch the movie preview below!
This film will be shown with English and simplified Chinese subtitles in the following theaters from July 23 through Aug. 5: Tokyo’s Shinjuku Wald 9, T-JOY PRINCE Shinagawa, Kanagawa’s Yokohama Burg 13, Osaka’s Umeda Burg 7, Kyoto’s T-JOY Kyoto, and Fukuoka’s T-JOY Hakata. Showtimes and running times vary depending on the theater, so check out each theater’s official site for more details!
