Toy developer and manufacturer Shine has announced the first place winners in its “Real Itazura Bank Photo & Movie Contest” which had been running since June 6, 2016.
Itazura Bank is a cute toy savings bank in which a cat hides inside a box of oranges and peeks out to steal your money from the top of the box. This campaign was all about trying to recreate the Itazura Bank for real! Large numbers of cat lovers from all over Japan submitted photos and videos of their beloved moggies playing at being a real Itazura Bank from inside cardboard boxes.
Over 100 photos and 20 videos were entered into the competition and the Itazura Bank team have carefully selected a first place winner in each category.

- Photo Prize: one Itazura Bank plus an Amazon gift voucher for 15,000 yen
- Video Prize: one Itazura Bank plus three months of cat food (around 15,000 yen in value)
