If you're a fan of the high school road bicycle racing anime Yowamushi Pedal, you'll know how important traffic safety is when you're cycling! So you'll be thrilled to hear TMS Entertainment's announcement that from Friday, July 1, 2016 to Friday, March 31, 2017, Japan's Chiba Prefecture will be collaborating with Yowamushi Pedal on the bicycle safety campaign “Chiba Pedal - Learn Bicycle Traffic Safety with Yowamushi Pedal.”

Chiba Prefecture's mascot Chiba-kun will also make an appearance in the original anime!
In order to raise awareness of bicycle traffic rules, and make sure that everyone is enjoying bicycles safely, Chiba Prefecture is collaborating with the anime inspired by road bicycle racing, Yowamushi Pedal. This collaboration was arranged because Sohoku High School (the high school attended by Sakamichi Onoda, the main protagonist of Yowamushi Pedal) is located in Chiba Prefecture.

You can brush up on your bicycle safety know-how with six episodes of an original anime created specially for the campaign, featuring plenty of bicycle safety information, which will be available for your viewing pleasure on the campaign website. And if that hasn't tempted you, there will also be an opportunity to get your hands on limited edition collaborative goods on the campaign website!
The campaign commercial will be screened on three of Chiba's Oogata Vision screens, in QVC Marine Field, Fukuda Denshi Arena, and Messe Vision (in Makuhari Messe). The original anime, commercial and campaign goods will also feature Chiba Prefecture's mascot, Chiba-kun, who is an adorable red dog in the shape of Chiba Prefecture itself!
